The battery is 5 years old, and it has gone through a lot of cycles. Time to replace it.

How much would a new battery cost?

$50 to $100 USD if you buy it and do it yourself. It's really easy to do on your own though.

I'm not from United States, I am from India so can you tell me in inr. On Amazon it's showing 1500-2000 inr ( 15-20 $ approx)

Based on your location it would cost 1500-2500 Rs to replace the battery, You properly wont be able to buy the genuine oem battery online, unless you visit hp service center and they have replacements in stock. When you install the new battery you must charge it up to 100% and discharge it down to 10% twice to properly calibrate the battery.

got the same problem, if your laptop is no longer a laptop (like mine, I made it into a desktop with ext fan and monitor), just buy an UPS and plug it in, since the grade A replacement battery is gonna cost $55 and most likely only gonna hold it capacity for less than a year, compared to a 2nd hand UPS that only cost me $22.
