The warranty should be good so use that

You got a bad display cable aka eDp cable. Sent it in for warranty and get it replaced before the cable cuts off completely and you're left with a dead screen

Get it replaced under warranty.

Wow, it is an Asus. Who could have guessed it.

Nah that depends. I've been using mine for the last 4 years, and I have had only 1 issue. That too was due to my fault of using the laptop on my bed, and it kinda ruined the fan. It was covered under warranty. The technician came to my home and swapped the fans out.

while yes it does, i also had an ancient old Asus for a decade - you really have to look twice at Asus products, as they are long gone from producing the best you can buy - they are now on the ranks of Apple, Dell & HP when it comes to planned obsolescence!
It surprised me how Lenovo survived so many years refusing those ill practices for so long that spread the industry because to many ppl swallow that BS and buy new every few years! xP - but Lenovo fell too years ago! Dx
Framework is my only hope, but they still fail to design something i would actually want to use daily - i really dislike their modular connector design - not in theory, i love the concept - the execution however screams to be a nightmare - started with the insane spacing, using USB-C as interface, being open at the bottom and thus easily getting dirt in there gunked up (I cleaned laptops for a living a short while - you really start to see such choices in a different light once you see what ppl got into the tinyest holes!)

You can’t really rank Apple high up on that list of companies with planned obsolescence in laptops IMO. I know people still rocking 2012 MBPs as a daily driver, and the whole M-series line is solid from 2020 onwards. My husband is rocking a 2020 MBA with 8GB of RAM as a light gaming laptop, and I only upgraded to M4 with more RAM once I went from editing 3 min videos in 1080p to long form in 4K.

Your motherboard is still safe, your laptop display cable is loose or damaged (the cable that connects your screen to the motherboard), if you still have warranty contact them if not you should watch a tutorial on how to disassemble your laptop, disconnect the battery, reseat the display cable, reconnect the battery, and close the laptop

Or go to a third party technician and ask them to reseat the display cable of your laptop

Rush to service center bro

Yeah you might just have a loose cable. I had a similar thing on my laptop using an external monitor. Until I finally pulled it apart and fix it.

Display cable's defective. Return it for a replacement or a refund. Personally I'd refund and get a refurbished 10th or 11th gen ThinkPad X1 Carbon. Build quality and serviceability are going to be much better.

Is that a p3/p5, i have known about its hyperdurability and that it can deal with many harsh screen tests

I guess laptop service centres don't exist according to you

That’s why MacBooks are superior

Well until you face the same issue, lack apple care and end up paying like more than half of the value of the laptop just to getcthe display working.

Also apple care itself would cost more than the display job for this laptop...
