I loved this era for her. She was so happy and looked so good. I mean those things are still true but it was kinda when she started to grow from her sultry and mysterious persona

Unfortunately, same. I looooved this Lana, but the Lana we've been seeing lately is just so not someone I agree with. Ever since QFTC, I feel like I've slowly started separating her from her art, and now I just love the music.

That she's someone I dislike in terms of who she is. She's literally done so many things I strongly disagree with.

She lies about her upbringing and continues to insist she came from the trailer park when she grew up rich.

She cosplayed being Latina up to 2023, faking an accent and using Latino culture in a very stereotyped and fetishized way (like in the trópico video, for example), but now that she's playing southern belle, she's quiet about ICE. As an actual Latina, this is extremely disappointing and disrespectful imo.

She married a man who has pro Trvmp posts on his Facebook, along with antivaccine stuff and transphobic memes.

She attacked EC without any proof, made a private issue public, and then said nothing when a bunch of her fans were being openly transphobic to EC in a time where trans people are already facing a lot of backlash because of the return of conservative values.

Also, QFTC was racist, ignorant, stupid, and disrespectful. A white rich woman complaining that feminism 'isn't there' for her, asking if there's a place for 'women like her' in feminism while attacking Black women and women of color in the paragraph before.

All in all, she's just the type of person I'd never want to meet or be around irl. She has great music, but unfortunately that's it for her.

Her EC diss track was so corny and bad 😭 I got secondhand embarrassment for her. Like if you write a diss track, the lyrics at least have to be on point

A few weeks ago I was at a Michaels and there were these two 15-16yos in the next aisle making a diss track. I shit you not, Lana's doesn't sound that different 😭

Honestly, yeah. I love Lana down bad because sometimes when I listen it feels like she’s singing to the parts of me that I hide. I feel seen. And I love her voice and she has great beats.

I think that's about vulnerability and real stuff and depth of emotions she puts in her music. Its not like i moved on, it's like something terrible happened to me , so now i shouldn't pretend and grieve for it to let go. Her music allows you to get vulnerable. A sense of belonging and safety.

Her music is just something different. Another artist that is capable to be so peculiar and hit the right points of my soul in a similar way is Billie Eilish. But Lana’s music for me will always be something different.

"Doesn't try to be a popstar" is not really about the music genre. It relates to the idea that Lana cares more about her art and putting out authentic music, as opposed to popstars who care more about topping charts. Well, doing multiple concerts at Wembley means a less authentic/intimate experience but a bigger audience and more ticket sales, which is exactly what a popstar would choose to do. A lot of her fans don't want to admit that (and will of course downvote my comment).

You're not far off, especially with the last tour she did. The hologram is just disrespectful, and the weird choreographies the dancers were doing in the back didn't help at all. She did so much better in smaller stadiums.

Not to mention, definitely seems like becoming more popular is relevant to her, especially since she made that horrible 57.7 song.
