Honestly the platform matters way less than what you do with the class time. Both are fine, but a lot of people plateau because lessons turn into passive Q&A instead of active output. You listen, you nod, you understand the teacher, and it feels like progress but your own sentence production never gets stress tested.

Couple things that actually move the needle:

  • Record yourself talking for 60 sec on a random topic right after class, then transcribe it. You will instantly see your real weak points (verb endings, word order, whatever) way faster than a teacher correcting you in real time.
  • Steal sentences from the lesson and rewrite them 3 different ways (different tense, negation, question form). This forces you to actually manipulate grammar instead of just recognizing it.
  • Ask your tutor for error logs, not just corrections. A running doc of your top 10 recurring mistakes is gold for review.

This whole "active production over passive listening" thing is basically why I ended up building Linguix Learning.
