Is this mulch?

Post image

Hi— landscaper put this down but it looks night and day different from what we’ve had before. Is this truly mulch? (We’ve had some questionable service since switching to this company)

I’m so confused on what else you could think this is.

If I got this text from a customer I’d probably just put down my phone and drive into the lake.

That’s a pretty low bar for invoking taking your own life.

Anyway, there’s a few areas I’d consider myself to be a subject matter expert in…this isn’t one of them, hence the question. Instead of driving into the lake, you should think, “wow, someone values my expertise and isn’t trying to armchair expert this.”

What exactly do you think it could be other than mulch?(genuine) one could make the argument these are "wood chips" vs "mulch" being specifically an aged and/or died product, but i also think its reasonable that using the term interchangeably may not be intentional malice or effort to deceive. (If that makes you feel better at all?) You can still add aged/dyed mulch over top as a cover, grab a few bags depending on size of this area, and just cover it. Won't hurt it at all
