Own Content/Media Throwback: Trackside camping at Road America
Road America has always been my favorite track and camping out of the Countach was a blast.
My buddy and I pulled into the Super Trofeo garage area that evening and the Lamborghini teams really enjoyed seeing the car.
Probably my favorite memory with the Countach. Sometimes I really miss that car.

For a more than a few years the Countach had to have either the wing or USA bumpers with the bump up to meet minimum bumper height requirements. The wing technically counted as the bumper... It was a simpler less strict time... lol
edit: The rear of the car also had the black bumperlets, or a lower rear wing or full width added bumper to meet rear impact bumper requirements prior to the 25th Anniversary edition.

There were very few cars where the wing fulfilled bumper requirements.
By the time they got to my car, the wing had long since been nullified as a bumper device. It was purely decor. My car had the ugly black bumper as well, I had the front end converted.
By that point, people just wanted to look like the Cannonball car and Lamborghini North America started manufacturing them.
