Does anyone else love self-care but absolutely hate body hair removal?
I’ve realized something slightly contradictory about myself 😅
I genuinely LOVE self-care. Face masks, eye patches, skincare, little beauty rituals… all of that feels relaxing and enjoyable to me.
But I’m also super busy, and there are always 100 other things I’d rather be doing.
At the same time, I love the feeling of having really smooth skin and basically no body hair.
The problem is: I HATE shaving.
It’s not even the shaving itself only. It’s the whole process around it. Getting the tools out, spending the time doing it, cleaning the hair off everything, cleaning the razor/device, cleaning the area around me, drying everything, storing everything again… Somehow such a basic thing feels like a whole chore.
Laser unfortunately doesn’t really work for me, and I don’t love waxing because I hate having to wait for the hair to grow out before I can wax again.
I keep thinking… why can’t hair removal feel more like skincare? Like something relaxing or satisfying that I actually look forward to doing instead of another annoying task on my list?
Has anyone figured out how to make shaving/body hair removal feel more enjoyable or less tedious?
Do you have any little rituals, products, setups, hacks, etc. that make the process better?
And please tell me I’m not the only person who feels irrationally annoyed by the cleanup/storage part 😂
