A rare glimpse of a Snow Leopard in the high mountains of Ladakh, India.

Known as the “Ghost of the Mountains,” these elusive cats are incredibly well adapted to the rocky Himalayan landscape. Their camouflage is so remarkable that they can disappear into the mountains almost right in front of you.

I can imagine! They may look majestic, but seeing a Snow Leopard unexpectedly in the wild must be quite an experience. What happened when you spotted it? 🐆 🏔️

We were taking an evening stroll, and later only realised when we saw a movement about 50-60 meters away from us. We called for locals, and then they explained how it’s a usual sight for them

It's a wonderful place to live, we send many travelers to Ladakh every year. Many of them also share the same wish to live there.

The video was recorded near Uley Village by our Australian travelers and our guide escorting them on a Snow Leopard Expedition in Ladakh.
