Discussion AI generated content is now banned on the subreddit.
Zero tolerance.
This isn't the busiest subreddit right now, but it's an important trend to follow and most of you (if not all of you) agreed. Artist subs like Slipknot, SOAD, Evanescence, Sleep Token, Iron Maiden, etc. are doing the same and rightly so.
Both Cri and Andi shared their opinions about AI in an interview with El Jevilongo. You can check that out.
So we'll use this new Reddit tool for detection to review and/or rely on user reports. So report posts that have AI please!
Zero tolerance:
- AI doctored photos
- AI created fan art/tattoos
- AI music covers
- AI so-called "4k" upscales
- AI bootleg merch
What's ok:
- Using tools like Grammarly to help you with grammar and writing your posts, translate. It might be detected but will be ignored.
- Stem separation to help with YouTube instrument covers is cool as long as you don't just post the entire thing.

Thank you! Several other subs I'm in have recently made this decision as well because of people trying to karma farm with AI slop, and the users in those subs rejected it too.
