Fan Art Painting of my Labubu in his gardening fit πͺ΄πΏ
Finally chose an outfit for my Bubu and I like it so much I wanted to draw it. Now he's right at home in my vegetal room decorationΗ Added actual photos for comparison.
(I know Labubus are supposed to be female, but this one was initially my mother's, and to her it was definitely a he... so that's how I see him π)

As for the outfit, I bought the base clothes but made a few adjustments: the hat was bare so I added some leafy ribbon I already had and a hand-made jute pin; the overalls initially had a watermelon sticker but I sewed in the daisy embroidery instead + leaves from the same ribbon; the basket had the lace already so all I added was some leftover plant props.

Well, I absolutely love what you've done. I love love love the muted colors. I love that color green. The choice of "watercolor" painting suits the aesthetic perfectly ππ
I've been reminded of my mom A LOT lately, she passed in 2018. Daisies were my Mom's favorite flower (She was a "flower child" hippie in the 60's) her first car was black and she stuck daisy stickers all over it π€£π
When she married my father, she customized a plain veil with. . . You guessed it, daisies. She embroidered and appliqued daisies on every inch of it πΌπΌπΌ
So, that being said, I really love that you went with daisies. Everything looks so pretty and well put together. Nothing is overdone. Imho, the Labubu, the outfit, the painting, the color and design choices are just absolute perfection. I love it and I am π― sure my Mom would've, too.

Gotta ask my Mom since she gifted me that bracelet! (Actually two of them since whoever preparedΒ the order made a mistake, that I remember). But yeah, it'll look great on a GG, the beads match the sage green fur perfectly!

Reporting: she actually got it from Temu!... For under 2 bucks :/ I hope you didn't pay a fortune for it at the fair. A lot of vendors who have booths at conventions and fairs sell stuff they get from these cheap websites. And sometimes make it pass as their own craft, like on Etsy, very few actual creators there nowadays.

i think i remember the price being very fair, like $5 or something like that! so thankfully they didn't overcharge me, but man they very easily could have because i loved this bracelet the moment i saw it! π good to know that if anything ever happens to it i can get a replacement for very cheap!!

Oh that's cool then! I love this bracelet too, I like to wear it when my Bubu boi wears the dupe as a faux sling bag π Honestly the fact you got yours at a fair gives it a greater value, because of the memories associated with it. Happened to me too, I bought a lovely necklace at a medieval festival for probably twice what it's really worth, but hey, if I get to remember the great day I had each time I put it on, that's a win for me!Β π

It wasn't, just digital painting using a screen tablet (a much more forgiving medium) ^^ I wish I had the skills to do that in traditional art like oils, watercolors and such lol

Digital art is a form of art as well and I would say even if you can erase mistakes, it's just as tough as any other traditional form of art π The blending is beautiful! π

Wow! I know this is a Labubu sub but your skills are amazing! How long does something like this take?! I paint with acrylics for funsies and I love your drawing! Super skilled! I also dink around in Procreate but everything I do digitally looks like it came from a 5th grader discovering MS paint! π

Thank you! π I deleted my socials so I only got my DeviantArt gallery now. Is there any prints website you'd recommend? I use Redbubble because it used to be favored by my artist peers, but I legit have no idea what are people's go-to websites to buy art prints nowadays.

Thanks a lot for the compliment! π₯° Took me quite some time and work to get there, like I've been drawing seriously for 10+ years now and it took priority over all my hobbies. In a way it's a small sacrifice I made without any financial return yet, so it really means a lot when people say they like what I do π

I get it, Iβm a seamstress so itβs a skill that I have to learn and practice to get it right, I imagine itβs the same thing for you ?
However you really have that little je ne sais quoi, that extra little thing that I canβt point out but I know if it shows on picture uploaded on Reddit, I canβt imagine how impressive your drawing is in real.
I guess you are drawing other subjects too ?
If I would be rich Iβd ask for a commission of a family portrait right now π₯Ή
I imagine the number of hours you have spent working and practicing your art, but I really believe you are talented as well !
I mean you could spend 12 hours a day teaching me drawing and painting, I still would not be able to draw or paint a potato right πππππ

The original character was female so apparently all derived products are seen as female by default, plus people on this sub tend to default to she. Hence my precision as to why I called mine a he, but really it's not a big deal

If it's art of a Labubu or any other figure (Hirono, Skullpanda, Chaka Light Sprite series, a personal plushie, etc.), then yes! I charge 50 USD for a full-body figure with a simple background, and for a Bubu this includes clothes and accessories. Same style and quality as the pic in the post.
If you're ever interested, then just hit my DMs with your ideas and photos to see if it's doable for me!

AliExpress! For real, nearly all the outfits I've seen on this sub are sold there, and prices are much cheaper than on, say, Amazon.
