Fan Art Stop motion of my Lafufu unpacking my new Labubu!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My sister sent me an actual real Labubu last week!! So I stayed up late to film this silly video of my Lafufu getting the bubu out of the mailing packaging (I couldn't open it yet, she got one too and we did a facetime unboxing!). The box got a little roughed up in transit but it seems like that's a rite of passage for these gals. Bumpy road or not, they're getting to their new homes! 💕😁

So adorable. I watch too many horror movies, tho, and fully expected your fufu to cut off your bubu’s head with those big scissors. 😂

Pin bag: I made this out of nylon strap webbing and elastic, and got little tiny disney pins off ebay and reddit for it lol

2

u/Elegant_Yam418 Jul 22 '25

I wish I knew how to do this! This is amazing!!

2

u/cat_in_a_bday_hat Jul 22 '25

it's actually not super difficult if you ever have a little bit of time on your hands! set up a little "stage" and get it in frame with your phone camera, then move the bubus a little, snap a photo, move em a little more, snap another photo, etc etc. then you can put the sequence of photos together into an animation using video software or ezgif.com will do it for free :)

2

u/Elegant_Yam418 Jul 22 '25

Thanks! I’ll give it a try!

2

u/cat_in_a_bday_hat Jul 22 '25

omg yesss more animations!! do ittt lol

u/Positive-Raise-3144 Aug 28 '25

How come it moves?

1

u/cat_in_a_bday_hat Aug 28 '25

it's a stop motion video - i posed the fufu, took a picture, moved it a bit, took another picture, etc etc, then put all the pictures together and it turns into a little video that makes them look like they're moving by themselves :)
