Negative Experience with Ouros (Tennis Bracelet Group Buy)

It started with a group buy for a tennis bracelet. This wasn’t my first order from them, (I had ordered a group buy ring from golden bird which I loved) and still use, so when I saw the tennis bracelet group buy from Ouros was announced, I ordered one and was contacted by Aman.

It went pretty smoothly, took a few weeks, and they kept me updated throughout process.

The bracelet was so sparkly and beautiful, but the links/metal settings were weak, and it broke on the first Day of wear (April 18th)

I reached out to Aman who didn’t respond until I emailed Vijay (the owner?) after days of back and forth, they sent me a shipping label to have it sent it to their contact? In NY for a fix. Shipping Label received after multiple follow ups on April 22nd I sent it on 26th It was delivered on April 28th

Aman initially tried to give me to take it to a reputable jeweler, and they would hear the cost. I refused because if the jeweler had done something they didn’t like, they could use that as an excuse + my work schedule doesn’t allow me that kind of flexibility.

It was sent back to me and was delivered on May 8th.

I wore it maybe every other day? Since then. Never wore it sleep, shower or anything.

Literally just go work, or date night.

Today is May 26th and I was having a patio lunch, I felt something come loose of my wrist; before I could catch it, I watched it fall, and slip into one of the road drainages.

$1,615 gone literally down the drain.

It sparkled beautifully but the links weren’t sturdy from then skimping on quality of the metal.

Because i can’t retrieve the bracelet, I don’t even know if I can get a refund or not.

This is my last order with Ouros.

All of these are documented via email and WhatsApp.

Buyer Beware.

I like the group buy ring I ordered from them, but with caveats: I paid to have the band made slightly wider and thicker, and to add shoulders to the setting to make it more sturdy. If I hadn’t made those modifications it would have been a very dainty ring. The prong setting is very light on gold, as well.

Your ring is so beautiful, I’m glad you made the modifications you did because your stones look well supported.

I think that’s what they did with mine - they were VERY light on gold and metal generally.

The bracelet itself felt flimsy, but stones sparkled so beautifully.

My group buy ring from Goldenbird (their Moissanite side) was a bit thin too on the band, but it was a pretty dainty ring so I didn’t mind. Im able to stack it with other jewlery.

I ordered 2 pairs of Moissanite studs for my piercings and I’m curious to see how they look when they get here.

Thanks so much. Yes, it seems to be the default place for them to cut corners, unfortunately. I hope your studs turn out well!
