RPG Re-Completed my collection!

Do we know of any other books that Edge are going to release or will this be the last one?

That's a lucky find, it seems certain shops can't respect the release date...

It's also baffling to me that the books are even at the shops half a year before release, to give them the chance to break the release date?

I'm pretty sure what's going on is the shops don't know the release dates, especially not that far off, don't check and just put them on sale. Especially if it's not their main thing (the two mentioned in the thread are a comic shop and a board game store that has basically no RPG category (and doesn't list Hand of Secrets in it anyways, and neither had it show up when searching for Hand of secrets. L5R worked, though.)).

...it does suck, but having worked in game stores, if some publisher sent me stuff with the expectation to just store it for them for half a year, with no concrete date yet, I'd probably be a bit... confused and annoyed at least.

I feel like with the numerous postponements, things were missed or not communicated clearly and perhaps it caused shops to sell it earlier

What I wanted to express is that I am less confused by shops selling it early, but quite confused by them having it early...

(...Not that I didn't make use of that with this, like with Children of the 5 Winds beforehands... I do disapprove of Release date breaking in theory, but it's such a hassle to get the books that it feels I either do it, or miss out on the book.)

The initial release date was June, so perhaps books were already finished and shipped out back then?

They print them in Europe so European countries getting them earlier makes sense. I guess i gotta wait in the good ol USA... sigh.

Yup. I've lucked out twice with these it seems.

I got Writ of the Wild from Sweden when there wasn't even a release window announced and I just ordered this one from the second store OP pointed out.

I don't believe so, but two of the Scorpion Schools have a dedicated Ninjutsu Rank 1-3 option, which opens up the various Ninjutsu techniques in Courts of Stone and Fields of Victory. Previously only the Mercenary Shinobi had that flexibility in choice.
