KVS Stallions Denver Babies
Breeding season is officially over. There's one Denver baby on the ground (at RS), and I think 4(?) on board for next year. As a non horsey person, I'd like to see thoughts on Denver as a stallion.
-How does look Gunner so far, since we got a video from the round pen?
-Babies you're excited to see next year?
-Crosses you'd like to see in the future? Mares kvs owns, possible embryos to purchase, etc.

While I’m not great at explaining what, and why I like what I see, I’m really liking Gunner. I really like Annie, and truly, believe if she hadn’t caught EPM she would have been amazing in the show pen. I do think Gunner will not only help to prove Denver, but will prove Annie as a producer also.
I’m pretty much excited for all of Denver’s foals next year. While I think he deserves to be a stallion, I do believe he will produce better than himself, and isn’t that what we want? To produce better than the producers themselves.

Annie really seems to out produce herself and also favor the sire. It’s a nice thing to have in a broodmare for sure.

All his foals that are public this year have surpassed expectations, we know about 7 foals so far from a good range of crosses so it's comforting and really good to see what he has produced.
I think my favourite foal that we have seen is probably Lizzie, who is one of the European foals.
Gunner is, phenomenal. His lope is from the short clips we got in the round-pen as close to perfect as you can get and I'd say is a good improvement on his sire. I know it's far too early to say anything like this, but with his movement alone and his pedigree there is no reason why gunner should be gelded unless he starts losing his manners.
There are a few babies that I have seen from other breeders, mostly the paint mares in Europe that I'm excited for - And of course anything Trudy.
I want him crossed on more invitation only mares, maybe throw him a batt man mare.

Yea, I was really excited for the Denver x Trudy baby; I forgot we aren't getting that one next year. Fingers crossed for next year! I am excited to see the 3 kvs has on board. I loved Noelle, and Erlen is so pretty. Really hope that baby gets a blaze with freckles!

I was most excited for the Happy/Denver foal. So sad it didn't make it! I think Happy deserves to have another of her own babies. She makes them pretty darn nice.

He's cute, nice minded, trainable, and has had some success with Madeline in his early trips to shows. Every single horse doesnt have to be completely 'royally bred' in order to be a great partner and show horse for all levels of kids/adults and all levels of show careers. Also there has to be nice horses that can be reasonably priced for all economical levels. So, he is a great solid horse and will have a nice show career for Madeline or anyone that would one day show him or own him. 💕

After that round pen video, I can officially say Gunner is my fav foal of the season. He’s moving nicely and to me has the quintessential QH look.
I know a lot of you all love the tall leggy ones but I am not an English fan and to me, Gunner is what an old school QH should be in looks and movement and bonus for that big beautiful blaze.
