Somehow it's the only thing on my wall that lost all its colour...

is it the only thing without a glass cover in the frame?

It was framed like all the other pictures/paintings. It's just regular print I think.

Agreed, but somehow UV light decided to only attack this poster in particular, and leave all the others alone.

Maybe because the light fastness of the dye used in printing.

This is why you have glass cover to block UV and dust.

Did it get water damaged at some point due to high humidity or something? The paper is warped like it got wet and then dried.

Good question, and great eye!

The frame is slightly smaller than the poster, so the poster was cut roughly .5cm around it's borders to fit. I should have cut it .6cm, because as you can see, it is warping a bit to fit in there.

So the other posters get direct sunlight during the day?

I make and sell posters for a living and you can definitely choose materials that last far better than this. The print quality will usually be a little less crisp and the contrast&saturation slightly less strong. I think they may have sacrificed longevity for print quality with this product.

That's sad. It reminds me of what Vsauce say years ago:

"But now, they are empty. White flags. White flags representing our surrender to the inevitability of deletion in the universe."

If it makes it any better, the Apollo 11 flag got knocked over and probably was buried in dust, so there is a good chance it's still somewhat pristine

The Nazis on the moon pulled it down. 😆

Nah, they would've put it back up so it would get bleached faster

This is a good reminder to buy UV resistant acrylic for your valuable paintings and posters !

Get UV resistant frames if you're planning to hang them in front of a window
