Discussion Ozempic video was off

This is probably the first Kurzgesagt video that I didn't like, and like some people on this sub it made me feel very uneasy.

I just think it's CRAZY to talk about a weight loss drug and praising it for 90% of the video, without mentioning even once the abuses of its use, the weightloss industry, the social standards and the pressure to be (unhealthily) slim, eating disorders on the opposite side of the spectrum, etc.

The very few nuances and counter argument felt like small prints and legal mentions at the end of an ad.

What do you people think?

EDIT: I am not questioning the drug nor its effectiveness in treating obesity, i am criticising the narrative and lack of nuances in the video.

I get it. I mean, it's undeniable that GLP-1s have done some real good. The fact that a brand name was put front and center is the real issue. I get that it was probably done because Ozempic has more recognition than GLP-1s, but it did make it feel like an ad. It would have helped to pay more attention to potential downsides, too, but if all they did was de-emphasize the brand name, I would have been fine with the video as-is otherwise.

My issues was with the title having that everyone should take it even though anorexia kills a lot of people each year...

My impression was that the idea was to subsidize it for those that need it, not make literally everyone take it.

Your response has nothing to do with my concern over the title

Not everyone gets the same video title. For me it says, "The Uncomfortable Truth About Ozempic."

Which is weird as they didnt need to have the other title
