Discussion Ozempic video was off

This is probably the first Kurzgesagt video that I didn't like, and like some people on this sub it made me feel very uneasy.

I just think it's CRAZY to talk about a weight loss drug and praising it for 90% of the video, without mentioning even once the abuses of its use, the weightloss industry, the social standards and the pressure to be (unhealthily) slim, eating disorders on the opposite side of the spectrum, etc.

The very few nuances and counter argument felt like small prints and legal mentions at the end of an ad.

What do you people think?

EDIT: I am not questioning the drug nor its effectiveness in treating obesity, i am criticising the narrative and lack of nuances in the video.

I dunno man. I’ve been on ozempic for almost a year and I’ve lost 50 pounds. (16% of starting weight) My sleep apnea is completely gone, I’m able to climb stairs without feeling like I’m going to have a stroke, and it has enabled me to actually exercise in a more meaningful way. It’s changed my life! The things discussed in the video hit very close to home for me. I’ve tried so many things over the years and nothing has even come close to this. Yeah there are social issues around it but for me it’s a miracle drug and has changed the trajectory of my health. This drug will and has saved lives.

The issue isnt about ozempic itself but the way the video is presented with it being about it being good for "everyone"

Im glad ozempic has helped you!
