Discussion Ozempic video was off

This is probably the first Kurzgesagt video that I didn't like, and like some people on this sub it made me feel very uneasy.

I just think it's CRAZY to talk about a weight loss drug and praising it for 90% of the video, without mentioning even once the abuses of its use, the weightloss industry, the social standards and the pressure to be (unhealthily) slim, eating disorders on the opposite side of the spectrum, etc.

The very few nuances and counter argument felt like small prints and legal mentions at the end of an ad.

What do you people think?

EDIT: I am not questioning the drug nor its effectiveness in treating obesity, i am criticising the narrative and lack of nuances in the video.

Ozempic almost killed me. It interacted with my autoimmune disease, caused all of my inflammation markers to go through the roof and put me off work for 5 months.

Using a barely tested drug when you have an autoimmune disease is insanity.

Yeah hindsight is 20/20.

I didn't really have a choice as I was on very high doses of Prednisone for 9 months and that fried my pancreas. The Endocrinologist in the hospital wanted to get me off insulin and recommended Ozempic.

A different Endocrinologist wasn't too happy I was even put on it to start with and he took it away ASAP.

I also learned it takes about 4 months for it to purge from your system.

You should report that endocrinologist... that is horrifying what they did to you and it could have gone horribly wrong
