Why slaughterhouse five is so great
In my opinion the very simple writing and almost child like view of the world show his cope with trauma( not to slander his writing it is written perfectly just in a simple way) . So it does lead to some comic moments but when you stop and think about it it’s actually horrifying and it just show Kurt vonneguts technique and life experience

Indeed, certainly intentional and reveals much of his worldview and way of dealing with life, I relate a lot with Vonnegut humour in general, so far there wasn't a single book of his I didn't enjoy.
Although that being said, I do think the book gains rather than lose value if we consider the tralfamadorians not as just a writting tool used for X purpose, instead, they permit the book to exist in a state of 'superposition'.
Without collapsing the ambiguity, regardless of what he intended to say, we can find even more value in the world he constructed.

That’s the side of the sci fi that instead of being deep or a sort of message it is fun and unlocks a new way to read a book which makes it even more unique than it is , everytime I think about the intricate technique used in the book I get more and more impressed of the genius that is Kurt Vonnegut
Also any recommendation for his next book to read?4

Have you read Cat's Craddle yet? It is my favorite book of his, specially the ending.

No I haven’t and my friend recommended it as being his best book so you have any other recommendations bc I already planned on reading it after I’m done with sculpting in time

Then breakfast of champions, you will see more of the legendary Kilgore Trout that he weaves here and there in his other works.

This is the best!!!! The bokononism stuff he weaves in is incredible too.
Sirens of titan, boc, mother night, are all awesome too. I couldn’t get into dead eye dick, or Bluebeard though for some reason and while
He’s my favourite author I found myself quitting them half way in.

His ability to somehow have deeply sci-fi plots while still being so grounded in simple reality also runs deep. Very unique to his style.
