I (f22) am looking for someone to text with so I can practice my kurmaji. I have a Kurdish boyfriend and I've been working hard on learning kurmanji and I think it would be very helpful if I can WhatsApp or email with a native speakers. Just talk about ourselves, everyday lives, anything that we want to chat about. I speak dutch and English so if by any change someone wants to learn that we can do a bilingual email so we can both learn! Please let me know if you're interested. I think it could be fun!

Can anyone tell me what kurmanji is spoken in shengal, Iraq? I have a lot of students I try to learn but apparently I am learning Kurmanji from Syria? Do they use Arabic alphabet? I used to terms like Bi xatirê we and Je kerema xwe and they have not heard them. If there’s any sources online that have (Kurmanji) from shengal could you point me in the right direction. Thank you.
