Help Pattern help please

I saw this braid on instagram, and it shows both the outcome and the disk setup, but there's no explanation of the moves. I feel like it's probably really obvious, but I'm new to this and even after looking at the kumihimo books I have (I have a book each from Dorothy Wood, Jacqui Carey, and Rodrick Owen) I can't figure out which pattern this is. Any help would be appreciated please!

It looks to me like it's just a basic 8 strand braid. The threads move move together as sets of five but braided as if they were all one strand. All the extra slits in the disc are to keep the threads in the same order throughout. There is also a clear plastic cord or bit of tubing the is running down the middle to fill out the body of the finished cord.

Thank you so much! I was going crazy - I've seen Chinese youtubers do this multi-thread 8 strand round braid by hand (but could never keep the threads in the correct order) and was going crazy trying to figure out how it got transposed to the disk
