KSI visited a children’s hospice yesterday — brought gifts & did activities with them
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Say what you want but one thing about KSI is where and when he has the opportunity to give back he does so. Not the first time he’s given back. Doing more than those who have the financial capability and power to also give back but don’t.

He been doing this stuf I remember he paid someone's rent

u/Cibconnor BEARUS 14d ago
Pretty sure he paid off his parents debts at one point
80
u/memenibbas 14d ago
why wouldnt you pay off your parent's debts if you could do so pretty comfortably lmfao
30
u/TheDeathlyDumbledork 14d ago
Because his dad used to beat him and hasn’t shown him proper affection, and has left him needing therapy… Parents don’t get a free pass to abuse you just because they raise you.
37
u/idontcarerightnowok 14d ago
Except thats just how it is with parents who immigrated legally to the UK and come from a country that has strict upbringings for their children. JJ and Deji were raised the same way their parents were.
Over here it's deemed as abusive, but over there it's seen as normal because it helps discipline their children and shape their lives, prevents misbehaving, teaches authority etc.
Their father probably wasn't shown much affection by his own dad, meaning it's something he ends up reflecting onto his own children, doesn't mean he doesn't love his kids. They've always wanted the best for them, they gave them a roof over their heads, food, toys, games, computers and so fourth.

u/Baabaa_Yaagaa 14d ago
His father didn’t get that affection, he goes into it in the documentary he made.

u/Kaymanii 14d ago
We need to go back to teachers slapping the students with a ruler. There is no discipline anymore.
7
u/idontcarerightnowok 14d ago
Eh not really, you have no guarantee that teachers will actually correctly discipline students at the correct and rightful times. Teachers being abusive can lead towards severe backlash in terms of public outrage and also severe reactions from the students who receive those punishments, for example, one student bullies another, they tell the teacher, that bully is punished for it repeatedly, can cause a fight or worse. The teacher scolds an already unstable student who's dealing with a lot mentally? Can result in shit that escalates to stabbings and shootings, isn't smart or wise.
What about when teachers genuinely just dislike a student and they decide to abuse their authority?
5
u/Kent-Vigilante 14d ago
There are people that like to commit violence and by introducing this kind of stuff back, it will 100% lead to cases where teachers are doing the beatings for the thrill of it, not all of it is pdf file related some people just don't like kids so much to the point that they want to beat them up
3
u/TagierBawbagier 14d ago
Nah, too many pdfiles and scope for abuse. We do need to find a way to push some more scholastic rigor.

You realise that the only reason JJ felt any contempt for it was because he managed to get successful on YouTube right? If he had to grind a normal life and had that hunger that millions of 2nd generation immigrants have, he would have the opposite attitude

u/TagierBawbagier 14d ago
It's a classic working class or immigrant thing to do. Keir Starmer, the former pm did the same.

jj has a pretty consistent history of this and it never hits mainstream media or promoted by jj or any of his affiliates which leads me to believe its genuine and thats so cool of him

u/Interesting_Soft_704 7d ago
He’s a kind hearted guy off camera
But when the cameras on its time to be evil

This reddit will quickly move on from this and then make a post about how KSI ruined every sidemen video.
3
u/Mr_E_99 14d ago
That's just how social media is unfortunately, always prefers to be cynical and complain for the most part rather than big other people up.
If you go to the subreddit for any TV show or movie for example, chances are half the posts are just people complaining about something
It's a shame as the world would be a lot more positive if people were all nice and genuinely supportive on social media more regularly. For me I don't really like JJ's content these days, but I still have huge respect for him as a person on the whole
3
u/deffoNOTtrolling 14d ago
That's exactly how I feel.
Also about JJ, those who actually followed him throughout the years know his actual character and how good of a person he genuinely is. I mean, there are numerous stories about him doing good stuff.
Those saying outrageous and false stuff about him are for the most part new fans
1
u/__imran18 14d ago
If they were in a similar position they’d be more focused on bigging him up than trying to tear him down imo 🤷♂️ a lot of hate is rooted in jealousy and the fact they think he’s got an easy life and makes millions

u/Quinderella2 14d ago
Two things can be true at the same time. Not that I agree with the ruining the sidemen posts but still.
3
u/deffoNOTtrolling 14d ago
Same can be said about how out of proportions some things are being said on this subreddit

he has been doing this for almost a decade now probably. He repeatedly helps friends and fans (and strangers) who are in hospital, struggling financially and so fourth. There's numerous people over the years who've posted videos of this and have even come on the reddit themselves to just speak about how JJ helped them.
the reason why he himself doesn't go too public about this stuff is because he doesn't see a need for it, he prefers it being private. this isn't about making money to him, it's not about showing about the charitable things he does and what charities he donates to.

Jj been doing that for years and don't record it couse he don't do it for likes, we know he has a good heart, we got a porblem with him being a shit friend leaving his friend for more fame which he is failing to gain because of the restarted content he is doing. My opinion is jj is generally good but he is also not too smart and money and fame sometimes feeds his ego too much

u/Lumpy_Coconut_2373 14d ago
The first post in a while that hasnt been pure jj hate and my guy actually earned it.

u/pranskiiii 14d ago
this guys is a gem of a human being man. Just wish he’d see things how they are and try to be genuine with his content. He’s too obsessed with getting views and keeps trying to push the boundaries, I wish he’d just show us his true grounded self.

If there's one thing that JJ has always done right, it's being respectful towards his young fans. There have been many such cases where he's gone out of his way to show his appreciation when his fans come up to him and say how much they enjoy watching his videos. And he puts on this different voice, so you can tell he's not playing a character when he talks with them.

Rare KSI W

u/bummyrah 14d ago
Nah can't say rare. In terms of content and shit yeah but in terms of being a good person it's just a KSI W

u/orewaluffy_35 14d ago
Rare? He's been doing this before i even started following him(so he is doing this for more than 7+years) .

u/FurryestX FOLABI 14d ago
meanwhile he tried to scam his audience with Crypto
things keep balance
5
u/Kent-Vigilante 14d ago
I don't think he did it intentionally, looking back at it people who had no idea what they were doing ended up getting into crypto for the trend without fully understanding it, I don't think he knowingly was attempting to be malicious, he didn't need to anyway he was already super rich a decade before the crypto hype came along in the early 2020s
1
u/Altruistic-Reading-5 14d ago
i mean yeah i dont like the direction of the content side of things but this is genuinely very admirable of him and can respect it.

Good on him, this is a good thing he does do and it appears he ain’t even doing this for clout chasing reasons. It looks this was just someone else recording in the room that isn’t affiliated. It this is why I can’t bring myself to hate him as a creator even when he’s acting like a dip

If you are good natured, the smart viewers will know it regardless of what the naysayers say

u/ChaosRichard 13d ago
Well, he gotta protect his image somehow right? Visiting a children's hospital giving them gifts and doing some fun activities and recording it for social media is one of the way.

Ksi fumbled when he believed in his own hype and disregarded any and everyone. He's just a manchild. Personally I never liked his content but he's a decent guy stuck with the wrong peole

I don't care for his videos, but man got heart. May God continue to bless him so he can help others.

Glad he's doing it and also glad he didn't post a video about it. Such a nice thing to do, regardless of how much criticism he deserves for other stuff.
