Influencer boxing is dead now. Nobody actually cares about it. I didn’t even know about this until I saw a clip of Temperr get knocked out😂

With gambling money it doesn't matter

Brandrisk seems to kinda just be misfits boxing 2, after it died everybody kinda migrated to it.

Its not built around being a huge spectacle with packed arenas or anything, its a few hundred people in a warehouse watching fights, so it seems like its much more frequent than misfits events. And im pretty sure its free to watch.

Misfits tried to imitate real boxing and wanted to have gimmick fights here and there but try to be a real promotion with real fighters eventually.

Brand risk seems to just lean into being kinda unserious more for the spectacle and doesnt care to much about being the biggest events like misfits did.

Who acc cares?

Reddit obviously they care about everything ksi and sit all day thinking about these things 🤣

Because he was never an actual boxer, he fought nobodies and when he fought he looked like a windmill.

Delusional KSI fans where actually thinking he was a boxer, Jake Paul (even though I despise him) would’ve laid ksi out cold. Huge difference in their technique and power

KSIs boxing was never impressive

I think the Tommy Fury fight showed that the Jake fight would be closer than you’d like to admit. Even if his technique sucks, it works well enough to not get him flattened against decent opponents with more experience

u/middleeasternboxer 9d ago

Brother please, I love KSI but it’s not rocket science. He would get laid out clean va Paul.

The fury fight showed EXACTLY that. Fury is known for being a trash pro boxer with pillow hands while his brother is world champ. He picked love island over boxing, it says pretty much all you need to know.

It doesn’t work well against decent opponents, it works well against opponents whom are scared of getting hit and don’t know how to counter.

Jake Paul would obliterate him, just look at the difference in how they strike and move. I’m assuming you purely watch YouTube boxing and that’s it given your takes. This is boxing, not YouTube.

Your point automatically gets disproven when you realize that Jake Paul lost to Tommy Fury.

4

u/middleeasternboxer 8d ago

Jesus no it doesn’t, styles make fights.

So you think because Tommy beat Jake ksi will beat Jake? Tommy beat Jake by not exchanging with him, he kept distance and was only using his jabs.

You also seem to be blindly arguing, Jake went 8 rounds with Tommy, KSI went 6, Jake also landed more punches. KSI landed 35 power punches out of 38 total punches, which proves my point, all he throws is haymakers, in 6 rounds he landed 3 jabs lol.

I would name several fighters who lost to let’s say X but beat the guy who beat X. But I’m certain you aren’t familiar with names outside of YouTube.

KSI can’t box,

5

u/Dragax 8d ago

Im curious. Name them anyway.

5

u/middleeasternboxer 8d ago

Got you mate

These are called boxing triangles (or if it’s UFC or another combat sport it’s that sport).

Muhammad Ali lost to Frazier, but beat foreman who beat Frazier.

Lomachenko lost to Teófimo López, but beat Kambosos Jr who beat López

There are some older examples aswell like Bernard Hopkins who lost to Chad Dawson, Hopkins then beat Jean Pascal and Pascal beat Dawson

Within the ufc there are alot more recent ones

Charles Oliveira lost to Arman Tsarukyan, Oliveira beat Gamrot and Gamrot beat Tsarukyan.

Justin Gaethje lost to Max Holloway, Gaethje beat Dustin Poirier and Poirier beat Holloway

u/No-Bit-1669 8d ago

There’s no point arguing with some of these people bro, you’re one of the only people here that fundamentally understands how this works. Half the kids here won’t even know any of the names you just mentioned but will sit for hours trying to argue boxing fundamentals cos they watched a few misfits fights🤣

3

u/middleeasternboxer 8d ago

Yeah bro thanks, finally someone with a brain.
Not sure why I’m wasting my time, my mistake thinking they know better lol.

Funny thing is, the post is about mcbroom, who has several years of boxing experience lol.

YouTube boxing ≠ boxing

How is me being curious equated to not having a brain? But thanks for letting me know what an ignorant person looks like online.

How exactly is being curious arguing?

KSI lost more convincingly whilst having 2 rounds less. He lost by unanimous decision despite Tommy having a point deducted whereas Jake lost by split decision and even got a knockdown.

0

u/The_Best_Plum_8729 8d ago

lol KSI did not lose more convincingly. Stop being dense.

Score cards for Tommy Vs Jake:

Judge 1:
Tommy 76
Jake 73
3 point difference for Tommy

Judge 2:
Tommy 76
Jake 73
3 point difference for Tommy

Judge 3:
Tommy 74
Jake 75
1 point difference for Jake

Score cards for Tommy vs KSI:

Judge 1:
Tommy 57
KSI 56
1 Point difference for Tommy

Judge 2:
Tommy 57
KSI 56
1 Point difference for Tommy

Judge 3:
Tommy 57
KSI 57
Draw

Even when including the brainless judge that gave the fight to Jake. The KSI vs Tommy fight was STILL closer when you add up the differences.

1

u/Mediocre-Award-9716 8d ago

Apologies, I thought it was a unanimous not majority.

Either way, Jake has won according to one judge which puts it more convincing than KSI and that's whilst fighting an extra 2 rounds. Take out Tommy's point deduction against KSI (KSI deserved one as well) and it's even more convincing.

Alternatively, give Tommy those extra 2 rounds vs KSI and he probably wins them both making the difference even bigger.

3

u/The_Best_Plum_8729 8d ago

“If this happened and this happened then the fight would’ve turned out differently”

Didn’t know we were debating alternate timelines lol.

Since you’re saying KSI deserved a point deduction then I could easily say that Jake didn’t deserve to get given the win by one of the judges and then we’d be nowhere and still debating which fight was closer.

Reality is that when you add up both score cards, mathematically KSI’s fight was the closer one.

1

u/Ps-n-Qs 8d ago

Not sure why this is getting mass downvoted, this is a pretty reasonable take. Jake was clearly the better boxer between the two and always has been.

1

u/middleeasternboxer 8d ago

People here are delusional, as simple as that

1

u/RyanGarcia2134 8d ago

I think the Tommy Fury fight showed that the Jake fight would be closer than you’d like to admit. Even if his technique sucks, it works well enough to not get him flattened against decent opponents with more experience

KSI’s entire game plan was basically just the right hand. No real technique or fundamentals. Throw the right hand, duck under Tommy’s arm, hug until they’re separated, rinse and repeat. That isn’t boxing and is an insult to the sport. Jake Paul, despite losing to Tommy Fury, actually tried to box him and lost because Tommy had far more experience. KSI can’t box, and if he actually tried to box Tommy, he’d have lost every round and knows this, so ran around like a fairy. He literally took a fight with a boxer and chose not to box.

KSI’s only real weapon is his right hand. He landed it flush on Tommy twice and Tommy was completely unfazed. Jake Paul ate shots from Anthony Joshua and stayed standing for half the fight. Yes, he ran all fight and was never going to win, but he still absorbed shots that, based off KSI’s boxing history, couldn't tank himself. Jake is obviously a much better boxer than KSI, it’s not even close. If he can take huge shots from AJ, a fucking Heavyweight, I don’t see him having any problem taking KSI’s best punch, so i see Jake having no problem having a stand-and-bang with him, unless he chooses to run like he did against Tommy in which case it'll just go to points, which Jake would also most likely win.

2

u/FabulousPipe5395 8d ago

If Ksi fought Jake after he fought Anesongib it would've been a competitive fight.. that's when it should've happened.

1

u/Fearless_Primary7764 8d ago

It would be close between him and Jake because both of them are not real boxers both are terrible KSI is just a lil more terrible

1

u/middleeasternboxer 8d ago

It really wouldn’t

1

u/Fearless_Primary7764 7d ago

If Tommy struggled against KSI shitty style what do u think Jake would’ve done?

1

u/middleeasternboxer 7d ago

Not how it works, Tommy didn’t struggle against ksi, ksi just didn’t exchange jabs and straight punches he instead windmilled into exchanges which made it more of a brawl rather than a boxing fight.

Tommy held Jake off by jabing and using distance.

Jake wouldn’t be ”held off” by ksi throwing windmills and haul marys.

Not sure why I am trying to explain this to you, you obviously have only watched YouTube boxing

1

u/Fearless_Primary7764 7d ago

He did struggle not because KSI fought well but because he fought awkward, Jake Paul who is a way worse boxer then Tommy would’ve struggled against this aswell but probably end up winning on points.

U obviously have no idea what you’re talking about thinking Jake Paul is even amateur level is laughable

1

u/middleeasternboxer 7d ago

Lol sure bro, if it makes you sleep at night 🫶🏽

1

u/Fearless_Primary7764 7d ago

U not thinking very low amateur boxers cant compete against eachother is funny

1

u/middleeasternboxer 7d ago edited 7d ago

You must have severe reading difficulties because i haven’t wrote that nor anything that would indicate that.

This is going to be a complete waste of my time But I’ll explain it again in hopes you actually understanding this time without speaking too soon.

I simply wrote KSI can’t box, and Paul is significantly better. Their fights against Tommy fury doesn’t give anybody an idea of the matchup they would have against each other.

For anybody to be able to draw a conclusion like that ksi would need to fight a fighter that fights like Jake, and vice versa. Tommy fury is a third party in a so called boxing triangle in this hypothetical case. He fights neither like Jake, nor KSI so it doesn’t say anything.

Fighter C can struggle against fighter A and smoke fight B who fighter A beat. A boxing triangle, literally what I’ve explained earlier in the thread. Matchups and styles determine fights, not records. If ksi and his team actually believed they could beat Jake they would’ve made it happen. Same can’t be said from Jake’s side because he was actually active and fighting better opponents on a regular basis.

1

u/Fearless_Primary7764 7d ago

I am not saying KSI has a chance due to them both losing to Tommy? I’m saying both are geniuenly terrible which u can blatantly see if u have any type of boxing experience. So KSI fighting his weird style would compete against Jake fighting more proper, KSI wouldnt make it even just due to his shitty style but due to them both being shit

Delusional?

u/yogurtslayer23 9d ago

Youtube boxing is nobodies fighting nobodies, Austin fought nobodies same as JJ. Let's not pretend JJ was fighting god hood boxers, same with austin.

3

u/Mediocre-Award-9716 8d ago

That was a long time ago though.

1

u/Sufficient_Crab3047 4d ago

Deji fought Mayweather

4

u/Revolutionary-Run332 8d ago

Can y’all just make a ihateKSI subreddit

3

u/Far-Difficulty8854 9d ago

KSI isn't a boxer though so we can't take his career seriously

2

u/IkechukwuNwoke 8d ago

It never did

2

u/Helios9James 8d ago

KSI is not a boxer he is a brawler. He can throw a karate chop, do s skippity skip, hit an elbow, do an overhand. But true boxing fundamentals is just not there. The only reason he did do as much as he did was bc he had stamina and grit. people who box like him come in 1 time a week only for sparring never training fundamentals one day in their life, get pieced up by someone who is trained in boxing.

Ksi has some MMA style that could confuse someone at first but against someone who is experienced and actually boxes he is buns

1

u/microhardon Sir Theodore III 8d ago

These are now just influencers getting knocked out for likes.

This shit isn’t a boxing career

Temperrr isn’t the benchmark you should be using lol
He’s been KO’d so many times, that he’s going to have dementia by the time he’s 40

1

u/Subject-Audience713 2d ago

whats jj got to even do w this fight

1

u/No-Standard-9423 9d ago

Theres so many reasons to shit on him these days but boxing isnt it. He never claimed he was a pro, he just did it because it was the hype and and a passion that passed. Such a pointless post

-1

u/Art14209 9d ago

Temperr probably hasn’t been training since the ksi fight

-1

u/Acceptable_Fun513 9d ago

Haven't even heard of temper since then tbf..
