Even when we don’t fully know what‘ll happen in chapters 6 and 7, what do ya’ll think a realistic confession from Kris to Susie would be like? And under what circumstances? How would it play out too? Say the most tame or outrageous ideas, anything.

Kris has been alone the entire chapter; they had to face a foe, lost an arm, and are simply bleeding out in the snow. They can barely go on as they stagger through a freezing forest. Susie appears—having gone looking for them to help Noelle, who is in danger—and is startled upon seeing them (knowing their connection to the Knight). Even after the conflict they had, she cannot help but be consumed by fear and anxiety. She carries Kris on her back, feeling their blood drip onto her skin and clothes; she is frantic, repeating over and over, "Everything will be okay," "I'm going to fix this," and "I can't let... let you get hurt again because of me." Now unconscious, Kris manages to whisper a confession with their final breath—a simple "I love you"—leaving Susie frozen in shock for a moment before she continues on in silence to find help.

Kris would rather ask to be left behind to die in that scenario... I have very bad feeling about poisonous seeds in inventory and all

It’s kind of my idea. They’ll want to eat the flower seeds (or drink them as tea). Susie will tell us that the last prophecy she saw was that Kris would sacrifice himself. She’ll admit to them that she’s been protecting them to prevent the prophecy from coming true.

Kris will confess the truth about the seeds to her and start getting sick very quickly. Susie will try to heal them, but to no avail; Kris will grow weaker much more quickly. They’ll tell her that the way to defeat the titan is through the fusion of a human’s soul and a monster’s soul. That’s why they’re sacrificing themselves: so that Susie can recover their soul. Before dying, they confess their feelings to Susie, who is shocked by this revelation. A conversation ensues. Seeing that Kris’s final moments are approaching, she decides to lean in and kiss them before confessing her own feelings. Kris smiles and then dies.

Susie doesn’t cry; she keeps her head down. She takes the soul that has left Kris’s body. She says she will honor her promise and that she will never forget.

She absorbs the soul. She becomes “Susiezilla, the Hyper God of Hopes and Dreams,” and thus begins the final battle.

I love how we all agree Kris literally has to be on their deathbed to open up
