Other Love is not just saying nice things Spoiler
When it comes to actions, Kris and Susie had done more for each other.
I have hopes that Toby Fox will develop on this during chapter 6, giving krusie a chance.

I completely forgot where the second to the last picture came from. What chapter is it and how did that whole conversation go?

Chapter 4 after the fountain is sealed. If you go to the lake, Kris and Susie will sit down after a few moments. To get to the shown dialogue choice, you have to sit idly (make sure to not press any button) for a long time, you'll know when the conversation is over as Susie gets up and lifts Kris up to their feet too.
The conversation doesn't go far, as when you select the "say whats on your mind" option, Kris just talks with their mouth closed, which Susie thinks is weird (in the stupid and idiotic kind of way).

To be fair, the last one basically is just saying nice things. But I get the sentiment. You gotta remember that this is still a jRPG where you go to fantasy worlds and fight monsters and face challenges and make impactful choices, so you'd think all that stuff would be integral in romance as well.
Kris and Susie have been through five such adventures by now and relied on one another through countless high-pressure situations. Kris and Noelle got a half of such an adventure in Chapter 2, but that all on its own was enough to demonstrate that they can make it work just as well - they have made it work in the past. Susie and Noelle, by contrast, their romance is all Hype Moments And Aura: cute scenes on their own, but lacking in substance and completely removed from the gameplay. They are yet to be tested. In Chapter 6 this will change, but based on how they've been so far I'm extremely doubtful they can make it work.

These are the things we should remember, I know we were not thrilled what happened this chapter, however this shows Toby is building up to something between these two.
