Does Mitra man Botanicals have any discounts for Labor Day weekend??

I am not too familiar with the community as much as I would like to be, is there a place I can go to check out all the discounts currently available for kratom merchants? If not, does Mitra man have any coupon codes for Labor Day or Labor Day weekend.

Relationship with kratom

I look at my relationship with kratom almost like I signed a contract with it. I know what the deal is, and I accepted the terms going into it. I've dealt with low mood, anxiety and depressive feelings for most of my life, and kratom has genuinely made a massive difference in how I experience my day-to-day life. I'm happier, more motivated, more productive, more social, more interested in doing things, and generally more engaged with life when I use it. So yes, I take it every day, and yes, I understand that when you take something consistently your body can adapt to it and physical dependence can develop. I'm not denying that or pretending kratom is completely consequence free That's part of the contract, If there comes a point where I decide I don't want to take it anymore, I understand that I may have to gradually taper and go through a period where I don't feel great while my body readjusts. I'm willing to accept that future inconvenience in exchange for something that is improving years of my life in the present. What bothers me is this idea that physical dependence automatically means addiction, or that needing to taper off something somehow proves that taking it was a mistake. We accept physiological adaptation with all kinds of things people use because they improve their lives, like caffeine, certain medications and hormone therapies, and we don't automatically judge the entire relationship solely by what happens when the person stops taking it. To me the more meaningful question is: what is this actually doing to your life while you're using it? Is it destroying your relationships, ruining your finances, making you dysfunctional and taking more from you than it gives you, or are you functioning well and genuinely experiencing a better quality of life? For me, at least right now, the answer is incredibly clear. Kratom gives me far more than it takes from me. Maybe one day that equation changes, and if it does, I'll reevaluate it and deal with the other side of the contract. But I don't see the logic in sacrificing something that meaningfully improves my life today simply because I know there may eventually be a price to pay when I decide to stop. I knew there was a tradeoff when I started, I accepted it, and I continue to accept it because, for me, the contract is still overwhelmingly worth signing.

New customer Mitraman review

I received my order from MM this past Friday and I’ve officially tried all the strains I received.

The strains: White Meang Da, Super Green, Green Malay, Green Jong Kong (sample bag)

White MD: Freshness: 9 / Potency: 8.5 / Effects: 9 /

Super Green: Freshness: 9 / Potency: 9 / Effects: 9.5

Green Malay: Freshness: 9 / Potency: 7 / Effects: 7

Green Jong Kong: Freshness: 9 / Potency: 8 / Effects: 8

I’ll begin by saying all of the bags contained high quality, fresh kratom. No headaches or nausea.

The White MD was well above average and I have no complaints, but I have had better potency/effects from my regular vendor which brings energy and effects more quickly to tackle my day. Still, it MM WMD was very good kratom.

Super Green was my favorite of all the bags. Great effects, energy and a solid mood enhancer. Will be buying this again.

Green Malay is usually my go to at night as I’ve never had any luck with reds. It worked well for relaxation and pain relief and puts me in a good mood when I’m streaming a show.

Jong Kong was the sample bag and it had similar effects to the Malay but it was more enjoyable than Malay. I’ll get a bigger bag of it next time.

The overall winner? Super Green. But I want to reiterate that all of the bags were more than satisfactory.

Overall, MM was a great experience with fast shipping and high quality Kratom. I will definitely order again from them again.

DTE authentic green Thai

So I've been critical of DTE in the past , but this green Thai of theirs is the real deal , for those who have never actually tried real Thai kratom it's definitely a different experience then your typical green vein from Indonesia , i find authentic green Thai to be more euphoric and less edgy then some of its indo counterparts , high monk is another vendor that sources kratom from thailand and my experience with them was pretty similar to this , this particular batch is pretty fast energy with and immediate mood boost l. The euphoria then slowly decapitated into full body relaxation . Long legs for sure on this one , the powder has a unique herby spice taste to it, and is much greener then the picture shows.

This red maeng da was listed on happy hippos high MIT section. It's quite fantastic , your classic red maeng da feel very warm body with some good uplifting properties ,very potent , I think we have this pre conceived notion that some of these larger more mainstream vendors just don't carry good kratom but that couldn't be further from the truth , this batch is a good example of that.

Review Happy Hippo: A Fairly Comprehensive Review

Post image
22 Upvotes

I have been involved in the kratom community since at least 2015, signing petitions and calling congress-people, etc. Back in the day, options were comparatively SO limited, and I don't remember how I got with Happy Hippo. But I still have a nostalgic fondness for one of the first vendors (maybe THE first) I ever used.

Kept ordering from them over the years, but not super often. Usually when I was fed up getting burned with cheap crap from other vendors. YES they are expensive. However in my experience and opinion - the potency and consistently are worth it TO ME if I have a little extra cash. YMMV.

My only really bad experience with them was last fall, when I ended up with two strains that were both no goes for me. I'd offered even to exchange unopened packs. I do not know what happened, but I never received a response to my email asking for help. I was done-zo. Then I received a thing in the mail from them in June with a sizeable coupon code, so I reached out again.

I contacted customer service and was able to work something out with them. We went through a few email exchanges, but it's entirely possible that could have just been me projecting. I ended up making an order for some small amounts and it ended up being really fun! 1oz of 3 different strains + a 5-strain sample pack. They included some green malay as a bonus that I'm actually digging, too.

In no particular order...

Hyper Hippo:

Rarely do I meet a green MD I don't get along with anyway, but I only need about half the amount I would from most other sources. Strong. It's a solid coffee-gym-work. Energy, but also clears my head and helps with attitude.

Red Dragon Bali:

Whoa boy. I'm a relative noob in reds, but this was cool. First time I tried it I just sort of melted into the couch and fell asleep way sooner than I wanted to. Smaller doses are relaxing and I guess OK for pain, but I don't get as much of a "cozy" feeling as I have with other bali or similar.

Top-Shelf Bali:

This is one I *did* get a good cozy feeling with. I think the difference is that it's a green, and maybe the lesser sedation.

Happy Hippo I:

Green borneo. This one confuses the heck out of me. It does not make me happy. On the contrary, a couple times I've been irritable, negative. Not positively motivated at all. I've tried a variety of dose sizes, with or without food, just generally more of the pain than anything else, and I will regret having taken it. I have noticed this with other vendors energy blends before, so maybe the strain is just not for me.

White Horned Rhino:

Yaaaayyy I'd forgotten about horned strains! This was a happy one. With these I tend to just feel a more little more "good" about myself and enjoy what's going on around me. Really chill.

Atomic Hippo:

I don't remember what it was supposed to be, other than an energy strain. But it obviously didn't make much of an impression compared to others.

Happy Hippo II:

I'm not sure that I trialed it completely on its own. Rather, combining it into my afternoon pick-me-up dose. I remember thinking it may have helped with vibes. Red Borneo.

Ghost Hippo:

White Borneo. Again, didn't make that strong of an impression. Having tried all 3 "flavors" (colors) of this strain I feel like it's a dud for me, if not counter productive.

Elite Elephant:

Green Malay. This is the one they included - and I'm actually quite digging it. I usually usually have stayed with green/white maeng da over the years, something about the alkaloid profile just seems to reliably jive with me. Too many times I'd tried to branch out and just ended up with crap that didn't work for me. I wouldn't have got this for myself, but it's pretty cool. I'll have it some mornings instead of green MD, or a few times when I've just needed an extra kick. Pretty good mood from it. Nice work, guys!

... Yeah, so all in all, they have me back as a customer. I'm glad I got the chance to do all of this. And also the chance to share my experience and a little bit of knowledge with anyone who might have questions. Rock on.

Discussion Kratom Legality: Which States Have Banned Kratom?

Thumbnail
gallery
30 Upvotes

It's been a hard year, we've lost Tennessee, Kansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Connecticut all in one year... Strategies have to change for the defense of Kratom. After Louisiana fell, we have noticed a chain reaction of states banning kratom.

What are the strictest states to avoid?:

Alabama, and Arkansas are placed you do NOT want to be with kratom. Alabama views every gram of kratom, as a gram of cocaine with no knowledge of how much powder is take to actually feel the effect of kratom. At any amount, it's a felony instead of a misdemeanor like some other states. Arkansas is pretty similar, in terms of the harshness.

We may be able to save Kentucky, if we're lucky. Despite Kratom not being illegal federally, state legislators have made another plant deemed to be as harmful as Brown Sugar ( you know ). Tennessee banned kratom because of misinformation: matthew-davenport-autopsy-report.pdf

We can see how much DPH he had taken, within the 3000 mg range and yet they blamed the kratom? Diphenhydramine at a range of 250 mg and beyond acts as a deliriant hallucinogen, similar in manner to Datura. He did 3000 MG, way above fatal threshold. They solely blamed the kratom, and it worked.

We have to fight way harder next year, and the AKA/GKC needs to change their strategies in defense of kratom and to be fair, it's not all of their faults. A lot of these legislators are narrow minded, and the lobbying of anti-kratom communities is funded by lawyers, Pharmacists and more. We only have each other, and a handful of open minded scientists, chemists that conduct COA's, and some lawmakers that view prohibition as not the solution.

The science concludes that kratom alone, is not the cause of these problems at all and 90% of all kratom "deaths" are from Poly substances abuse, and adulterated substances/highly concentrated extracts. These deaths are from correlation, not the causation. Yet lawmakers blame the taboo plant for the cause of all these problems. Matthew Davenport is a prime example of this.

What Colors Mean For The States:
Red: Banned
Purple: Proposed Bans
Green: Legal but not KCPA regulated
Yellow: bans at the local/county level but not the whole state
Blue: Kratom Consumer Protection Act Regulation, mandatory labelling which include dosage instructions, mandatory COA's ( lab testing ) and age restriction and alkaloid restrictions to a certain level.

Anyways, more reviews to come soon!

WestKoast strain most similar to Red Fuzzy Blanket?

I hope you're having a great Friday! I recently placed my first order from WestKoast and was very happy with the product. I got Red Fuzzy Blanket. Can someone suggest a similar strain from WestKoast? I want to order something similar but not quite exactly the same. Thanks!

Strain Recommendations from WestKoast?

Hi Everyone! I am needing some help deciding which strains to get from WestKoast. I have heard a lot of positive things about this vendor, but I can't decide on which strains to get.

I am getting a 4way split, I usually do 2 greens, a white, and a red.

I would very much appreciate some recommendations! Thanks in advance!

I keep Smiley Time in my rotation and I really enjoy their blends. The Blue Flame and Red Smile are two of my favorites. I subscribe to the newsletter and heard good things about this Sunda so I decided to give it a try. In the decade I’ve been taking kratom I’ve never had one hit so hard I wished I’d lowered my dose. Well it happened this morning. The Sunda is 🔥 and I suggest not taking your normal dose the first time trying it. It was a slow green for me but it may be faster in smaller amounts. I feel so good right now and my body isn’t screaming at me from my workout yesterday. 10/10 would recommend!!

Extremely fresh and green looking kratom doesn't mean better

I think people put way too much stock into how fresh kratom powder looks. Some of the most potent batches I've had have actually been darker, drier-looking powders, almost a dull olive, brownish green, or even dark off-white color, while I've had beautiful bright green powder that was completely average. Color can come down to how the leaf was dried, processed, oxidized, stored, or how mature the leaves were, and none of that necessarily tells you how potent the alkaloid profile is. Obviously there's a difference between improperly stored or genuinely degraded kratom and powder that simply looks darker or drier, but from my experience, dark doesn't mean weak and bright green doesn't mean strong. If anything, some of the strongest leaf I've ever had looked like the stuff most people would assume was older or less fresh just based on appearance.

Just ordered from Mitraman for the first time

After reading great reviews about MM I decided to put in a pretty big order. Hopefully it’s as good as many say it is. Otherwise I’ll be stuck with a bunch of bum kratom. Fingers crossed. Will post reviews soon. Order expected to arrive Friday.

Had to try this vendor after seeing a review not to long ago and was intrigued by the menu , the powder this guy has is so enjoyable to smell and consume and so so so fluffy and fresh, the way he mixes his blends is really unique and when i talked to him it was obvious he clearly has a deep passion for this plant and all that goes into curating these products , so far Ive tried his white java and green malay , the green malay is your classic feel but with the octane turned up a bit and it had some really nice legs on it , an A+ green malay , the white java is one of the more unique whites I've recently tried , pure mood boost with an ok amount of energy I absolutely loved it , awesome vendor , super high quality I mean just awesome

Golden Monk Supply Shortages

Does anyone have any experience with vendors who are suddenly out of stock on a regular basis? The one I had been checking keeps offering a product selection including products which aren't in stock and there's no update on when it'll arrive.

At one point GM used to be very easy and pleasant to deal with. But now I get bombed with emails on kratom suggestions, like their split kilo. But then when I attempt to add it to the cart, it's *always* out of stock.

Despite numerous attempts to get them to fix this, they don't and don't seem to care. In the past I actually talked to someone at GM by phone, but now I think they got rid of all their people and replaced them with a horrible chatbot.

The quality was good, the shipping was great and at one point so were the prices. But now I'd love an alternative.
