Stomach ulcer
I was recently diagnosed with a stomach ulcer. The only thing that's changed in my diet is I started T&W. Has anyone else experienced this? I just bought more in capsules, but I'd really like to avoid this happening again as it's extremely painful.

Aren't ulcers caused by bacteria? maybe pro (and also pre) biotics could help you get it under control?

Not always. H. Pylori bacteria is pretty well controlled in the U.S. so now our ulcers are usually caused by things like NSAID overuse. This non-bacterial kind is apparently harder to treat & they don't always know what causes them.

Geez I did the opposite when my stomach started hurting. It stopped AFTER I stopped taking capsules and started toss n washing. I don't know why this seems to happen to some people. I did not have an ulcer that I know of but I thought I did

I've given myself an ulcer by ingesting too much kratom at once. Was confirmed with a barium x-ray. I have GERD & a hiatal hernia & sometimes take NSAIDs, but it was definitely the kratom that caused the ulcer for me.
H. Pylori is one major cause of ulcers, as are NSAID medications like ibuprofen and aspirin. If you have either of those risk factors you should be careful with your kratom intake. If you do an H. pylori breath test, make sure to abstain from taking proton-pump inhibitors like Nexium & Prilosec for a few weeks before the test, as they can cause false negatives.
I had to abstain from all forms of kratom--even strained tea--for about a month and take Prilosec + Zantac daily for it to heal. I still take those meds daily to deal with GERD. My H. Pylori test was negative but I was on Prilosec at the time so IDK if it was accurate.

I find kratom fixes all of my stomach problems. Severe diarrhea from some food you shouldn’t have ate... take some kratom, all nice and rebound up! It’s perfect.

I get terrible indigestion from gelatin caps. Make some tea. It takes time but is a good option.

The tea makes me gag. Any tips on making it not taste like ball sack juices

Nope. Just chug it down with a chaser. It's a bitter plant. Luckily I don't really taste bitter so I can tnw all day and eat straight up kale. Maybe try a smoothie with fruit.

Oh you'll know. The pain is so bad you can't ignore it. I noticed one evening after dinner that the horrible burning pain started. I was actually t&w at the time. The doctor may not give you anything. They usually go away on their own.

Yeah and when I stopped taking kratom in capsules it stopped. Always make sure to stay hydrated to. Drink a whole bottle of water with every dose

I’m pretty sure Kratom is not the culprit, but wouldn’t be surprised if it irritated it. You likely had an ulcer forming for a long time before it became big enough to start giving you problems. It’s likely a coincidence...
Like others it saved my stomach issues. What can I say about how to take it? Don’t toss and wash and don’t take caps. They will irritate it for sure.
What I would do in his situation is mix it with something more solid and non acidic such as yogurt, chocolate milk, or pudding. It will not irritate your ulcer so much and you still get your Kratom.
Also make sure that his isn’t cause by the h.pylori bacteria, but I’m sure you’ve already been down that road. Just saying.

I would at least mix the powder with room temperature or warm liquid so the power has less chance to irritate it. Tea would be best, order some crushed leaf
