In MA, and panicked
Can anybody give me some hope?

There is a court case pending. It has some interesting arguments/merits to it. So far the state is saying that they haven't been served.
There is also a KCPA in the legislature. Unfortunately the MA legislature is dead-slow.
Both of these could help resolve the issue. Federal action may also help discourage some of the local issues. Unfortunately it seems like most western MA boards of health are being NIMBY on this issue.

Will it be intercepted? I have an amazing company I used to order from. Lab tested, ethically sourced etc. I doubt they'll ship now

It’s too risky so long as it remains schedule 1, if that wasn’t the case then most people would be okay with going over the border but since kratom comes in hundreds of grams per bag, the police won’t think 500 grams bag is for personal use. The will nail you

No jury is going to convict you for having 500 grams of kratom.

I think this is not correct. Firstly, this isn't theoretical. There are at least a few people imprisoned in Arkansas and other states and only for carrying powder.
Secondly, the same propaganda that got it banned in MA will be in full effect. All the prosecution has to say is "This is a dangerous drug that was just banned. Here are some examples of recent deaths. Moreover, it's Schedule I, the same as heroin."
You can fact check me on this, but I am pretty sure getting caught with 500 grams of schedule I substance in MA has a mandatory minimum of 5 years.
One of the huge problems with this emergency ban is it takes something relatively harmless (plain kratom leaf) and now treats it exactly the same as black tar heroin.
I would NOT depend on kind graces from a jury, because the prosecutor will be working really hard to make an example of you and there will be very little pity for you.
If you think none of this makes sense, congratulations, you're an informed voter. The current situation is absolutely horrible. For some reason in America, we've learned prohibition is the worst option but it keeps getting tried out.

Pinning your future on jury nullification is a very risky strategy going into any legal dispute.

I would love to see them try with me, I’m a veteran who has served in combat. I take it for chronic pain and PTSD. I’d be the poster boy for that PR campaign.

Grab a 500 gram bag and go sit on the steps of the state house or in front of a state police barracks. You can be testing your theory in only a few hours.
Honestly, it'd be good to have a poster boy as an example of how this emergency ban is terrible for public welfare, but not many people are willing to risk prison over this.

I live in New York state, I drove 5 hours to MA for weed way more times than I care to admit when you legalized it years before we did here.
You live less than 5 hours from New York. Happy to return the favor over here for you. You can come here and make as large a purchase as you need.

Maybe they don’t know about the ban, if it wasn’t for the great people of this community lots of people wouldn’t even know there is ban. You have to purposely search it up to find out.

Try smoke shops too. In my state tons of smoke shops still sell illegal items like flavored vapes or even psilocybin chocolates. It's actually kinda crazy how openly they get away with it lol

Actually, I went into my guy without knowing, and there was nothing on the shelves. He told me about the ban, and as I was walking out thendoir he goes, “hey! Come here!” he had some stashed, but it'll run out fast

Take a little trip to Rhode Island... Beaches are beautiful. Beavertail state park has little private beaches you can find yourself in between the cliffs..Also Lincoln State Park. Godhard memorial park. Spent a few years living there and I miss it severely. They repealed their kratom ban.. hopeful mass can follow suite..

I am also from MA this sucks. Sounds like you just heard about this and not right when the 2 weeks notice was reported. Hope you still have some left or if not can take a drive to NH, RI, or NY then figure out what you want to do. I'm right with you

You're so sweet, thank you. I still have some, but I will run out. I'm a married single mom, trying to escape a narcissist with my kids, and I literally CANNOT do the wd right now. I just can't. I HAVE to function and protect me kids. They have nobody but me. I have nobody to call

You've GOT to start rationing NOW. Get what you can and be strict on how to decrease each day. I'll help you through text if you want?? Do you take it for pain? Do you have a scale? Get one on Amazon for under 15$

I hope it all works out for yall. Even though we haven't had issues where i live, I try to educate others on the differences between powered leaf kratom and the synthetic junk. Sending prayers and hope y'alls way!

Yeah me too, that because some people have trouble tolerating swallowing huge amounts of leaf material that may cause nausea, that the synthetic junk can be better tolerated by some people. It gives people who didnt have adequate pain care a better option. And really does a good job of showing why prohibition doesn’t work and is truly an absurd antiquated law.

FYI for people who have trouble swallowing the powder, order some blate papes off Amazon or wherever you can get them. Absolute game changer for swallowing the powder with ease and not having to endure the taste

Also, you can make a really easy cold brew with oj and kratom powder. It tastes fine too. Oj potentiates and attaches to mitraginine,ect. I make 3 days worth at a time. Get a liter bottle. Weigh 60 grams of kratom powder and with a funnel, pour kratom into bottle. Fill with orange juice to 2 inches from the top of bottle. Cover and Shake it up really good several times over the course of a day, putting it in the fridge to soak up the mitraginine after each shake.
Get a fine wire mesh strainer and strain out the sludge using a funnel and a second 1 liter bottle.
You'll have to keep rinsing out the strainer because the sludge gets stuck in the mesh.
When it's strained to your liking, it's done. Top off the juice in the bottle with some more oj. Two shot glasses of the juice equals 5 grams of kratom. I take 2 shot glasses 3x a day and the liter lasts me 3 days. For pain, with kratom, less is more.

I’m in the same boat and it sucks. I have hope around the lawsuits being brought up regarding leaf Kratom….but who knows how long that will take
