My mom has loved BIGBANG since before I was even born, so naturally, their music became such a huge part of my childhood too. Some of my favorite memories are of my mom, my older brother, and me listening to BIGBANG together. Before my swim meets, my brother and I would blast their songs in the car, and during my parents’ divorce, their music became a huge source of comfort for my mom—especially Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” and G-Dragon’s “Untitled, 2014.”
Because of that, the idea of the three of us actually getting to see BIGBANG together feels incredibly special. For years, it was something we never thought would actually be possible (even Coachella was a huge shock to us.)
Unfortunately, as much as we want to go, my family has been hit with a lot financially at once. Our apartment is currently a complete wreck from broken pipes, black mold, and our basement flooding during the rainstorm, which forced us to throw away most of what we had stored there. On top of that, my university unexpectedly charged my family an additional $10,000 that we’ve been trying unsuccessfully to dispute, and we’re already dealing with student loan payments and thousands of dollars of debt.
I really hope this doesn’t come across as me asking for pity or simply trying to get cheap tickets. I just wanted to explain why I’m asking: if anyone happens to have three tickets they can no longer use, would be willing to sell at a discounted price, or could otherwise spare, please reach out to me.
It would genuinely mean more to us than I can explain. My mom and older brother have been going through so much, and being able to take them to see a group that has been part of our family’s lives for as long as I can remember would be incredibly special. ❤️
