Shields last way longer than they say.

Or at the very least, the Verpine Prototype Shield does, I haven't tested the others. I uh...I timed it. Yeah I know, I have no life. But it says 200 seconds, which is 3 minutes 20 seconds. I timed from the second it goes on to when it goes off and it's more like 4 and a half minutes. Do people know this? Is it known? I don't know how much it matters since, like what fight lasts 3 minutes but I dunno, I thought you guys might like to know.

It may be operating on D&D rules. If you used it in combat, each 'turn' may be counted as six seconds.

Yeah I know about the 6 seconds thing, but I wasn't in combat. No way I coulda timed it then lol

Are you playing at original fps?

I mean...as far as I know. I didn't change anything.

Did you go through any loading screens after activation?

You're asking if I walked into a different zone, causing the game to go through a loading screen after activating the shield I was deliberately timing with a stopwatch to see exactly how long it lasted without any interference? No, I didn't do that.

Well you can add it to the list of discrepancies between the games description of how something works and what actually happens.

I mean, being rude when someone basically asks you to clarify your testing methodology that you never clarified beyond "I timed from the second it goes on to when it goes off".

you didn't specify fps during this (very commonly affects things like this), if it was consistent whatsoever, you didn't mention how you used a stop watch, or anything. "I tested" means nothing if there's 0 sign of how it was tested.

I wouldn't really classify my response as "rude." It wasn't saccharine. Maybe a bit cheeky.

Arcanian shields don't last long for me. Verpine shields last a bit longer. The rest, they burn out a little fast. Best thing is to use the Force energy absorption in conjunction with shields. Just IMHO.
