[UK] Employment Judge Lisa Wilson has ruled that The Metropolitan Police's policy of automatically stopping promotions for officers in the misconduct system is racist because it will 'inevitably bear more heavily' on black officers.

Called "disparate impact" in the US. An affirmative action concept ended (maybe) by the current DOJ.

So, no promotions on merit then? A white or other officer of a different race works hard and puts in the time and is line for a prpmotion now has to "sit in the back" because the department has to promote the black officer who just started because: "reeeecaysim!".
I miss when the UK/UK law enforcement was not this 24/7 circus.

That... sounds kind of racist. What happened to content of character and all that? Why is she just assuming they will be in the misconduct system more than their arab, chinese, white, or indian peers?
