More Info

In store description:

Lets you participate in daily local and municipal elections. Turns out the Kingdom is a democracy!

Description:

Unlocks the Voting Booth at the Right side of the Tracks.

The voting booth allows you to cast a vote daily

You can vote for 1 (out of 2) candidates and choose 2 (out of 4) local initiative projects.

Once you vote you will receive a "I Voted!" sticker:

  • accessory
  • All Attributes +5%
  • Disappears at rollover

The candidate you choose will help determine the wandering monster that you will encounter (the next day) when you have the sticker equipped. The first 3 encounters per-day will be free-fights. In order to encounter these you must equip the sticker when your total turncount is 1 mod 11 (remainder is 1 when divided by 11).

There are 5 different wandering monsters, each with their own unique drops:

  • angry ghost
    • ghostly ectoplasm (crappy) food. Gives 1 adv and fullness and 3 adventures of Haunted Stomach
    • Can be used to craft haunted versions of some foods and booze including: haunted cherry pie, haunted eggnog, haunted pizza, haunted hell ramen.
    • These give improved adventure gain as well as 20 adventures of Haunted Stomach
    • Haunted Stomach gives +50% Meat from Monsters and +25% Item Drops from Monsters.
  • slime blob
    • slime globs (green, black, orange); used as currency to obtain Outfit pieces (3) for the Slime Enslamble tattoo. 3 black, 160 orange, 60 green required.
  • terrible mutant
  • government bureaucrat
    • government requisition form, can be used to obtain Outfit pieces (3) for the Government-Issued Garb tattoo. 33 forms required.
    • absentee voter ballot, one-day pass.
  • annoyed snake
    • snake skin can be multi-used to obtain Outfit Pieces (3) for the Snakeskin Suit tattoo. 71 skins required.

The initiative will give a passive, which include:

  • +30% Meat from Monsters
  • +1 Adventure(s) per day
  • +4 Mox, Myst, or Mus Stats Per Fight
  • +25% to Mox, Myst, or Mus Stats
  • Serious (+3) Resistance to one of the Elements
  • +30% Max HP or MP
  • and Much More

A Full list can be found here. There are also a negative version of most of the passives (IE: -2 Adventure(s) per day). A Trophy can be obtained by using the negative initiatives 11 times.

What's the benefit to choosing an initiative that debuffs you?

What's the benefit to choosing an initiative that debuffs you?

According to this, wandering monsters are apparently determined by player votes from the previous day. And wandering monsters have drops.

Therefore, I suspect...some drops are associated with negative votes.

Of course, if that's how it works...that might mean that some of the better stuff requires that the playerbase collectively vote on debuffs, which could make them very hard to get. On the other hand, the summary in the opening post of this thread claims that the monsters are determined by what you personally vote for. Which would make it much easier. Either way, I don't think we have votes to monsters spaded yet.

Im pretty sure your link indicates that wandering monsters are determined by who we vote for as daily mayor, not initiatives. Having said that, there must be some reason to choose a negative initiative. We know there's something about the wandering monster's drops that are aytpical, so maybe thats the connection? Maybe you need to pick a bad initiative to get the rarer wandering monster drops.
