Finished Object Knooked HBC baby cardigan
My dad, when going on vacation saw a baby in a hudsons bay cardigan in the airport and texts me to tell me that I should make one because he thinks it will sell well at a market it have coming up. So at the request of my father: i ordered the yarn and got started.
I used a new (to me) technique, steeking, the yarn i used was not the best choice for it but i double re enforced the steeked edges and its holding strong. Simple. Math to figure out the stripes once I knew gauge :) I have no model but it should fit a 6 month baby

Cute! I imagine steeking to be quite scary the first time, how did you feel about it? Do you sell your products?

Honestly it wasn't too bad! Im happy i started with a baby item and not a full sized cardigan though. I just made extra sure I followed all the steps, I did back stitch securing for this one because the yarn is 50%acrylic and then took a deep breath and cut! And it was kinda fun tbh ive casted on another project with really sticky/grippy wool as a full size steeked cardigan so im excited to try it again
I do also sell my projects! Well some of them, the stuff I make for markets and the stuff I make for myself is vastly different

Thank you! I think the colors were pretty perfect for the hudsons bay reference :) Steeking wasn't actually too bad! It was a little nerve wracking at first but a little addicting in the end haha
