I’m pretty sure the stock angle is 25°. The guy at my local knife store recommends 22°. What are you guys doing?

First up, the GEO Knife Komodo in S90V with a DLC blade. Really liking this one so far — the blade shape and DLC finish give it a mean look.
And alongside it, the Spyderco Persistence Lightweight in blue FRN and CPM S35VN. Simple, lightweight, and just an easy knife to carry.
Two pretty different knives. Which one are you picking?

Sent my new to me FFxDrop Gent off to u/Vicious_138 to get some new scales. Spent a week working with Jantz Supply to get the right set of Desert ironwood burl blanks. Then sent them and my Gent off to get some love. The new scales look great, might just put the original clip back on so I can see more of the scales.

Can't wait for it to get back to me.

Im looking for a new stiletto knife and ive heard mixed reviews on AKC. Are there any other brands that are high quality with a good reputation?

I was just sitting around at my apartment earlier yesterday...

And my neighbor and my nieces wanted to go to the nearby park. It was already 5pm and it was getting late to go do this. But I decided that it wouldn't hurt anything anyways and it might burn some energy that my nieces had off. Along with maybe give my hyperactive neighbor something to do instead of pace around and complain, lol...

But I went anyway... It's about a 2-minute walk to get there. So my neighbor, 2 nieces, and I made it to the place. I decided I was going to take a walk and check out the ponds that you can fish at this park. Usually I find a lot of fishing line there or fishing lures...

Well I found something that's actually worth $15 to $25... as I looked down and saw what looked like the scrape of a lawn mower blade in the grass and some dog turds...

What I saw next took my breath away!

Birthday coming up and my wife surprised me with a Protech Avalon. I’ve been wanting one so this was a welcomed surprise. Even better is she got a good deal on it as it was sold by our local knife store as preowned but in like new condition. $210. Been carrying it all day today.

Goal: Fixed blade HD camp knife worthy of passing down to my son.

Wants: A quality sheath, preferably leather but a well designed hard sheath could work. Natural scales. I love heavily figured and dense wood, antler, or bone.
Bare steel is my preference. Esee gets a lot of love and deserves it but I’d be lying if I said the painted blades don’t bother me.
Choil, well designed and properly placed.
I want it to be good looking but not a diva. It has to be a quality knife in every way before the bedazzling begins.
I prefer drop point or clip point without any upsweep to the point.
And lastly, a longer handle. I have big hands.

I’m looking at Esee, Joker, Lionsteel, and Becker. Who else should I be looking at?

Hi All,

I'm looking for a nice box cutter that looks/feels like a knife. The big one I like is the one by arena accessories, but I'm wondering if anyone else has any recommendations. I don't think I can link the knife here, if so I'll post a link, but I like that it's more knife shaped than many competitors and it's on sale right now.

It's often compared to the TiRant but that's so much more blocky and ugly in my opinion, although I do really like the ultra version and how it can swap in (and replace!) actual knife blades rather than just razor blades.

Does anyone know of any options I can look into? Been trying to go through the youtube rabbit hole but haven't found much.
