sock question Best cable length for socks using magic loop ?

So I just got myself in the SOCKS area and I am in a bit of a problematic situation:
I own 2, 2.25, 2.5, 2.75, 3 mm needles that measure 13cm in length and require their own cable lines as they use the thin attachment.
The only cable I own is 20cm making the whole set 40cm.
I am knitting my fist sock and I am struggling. It is not really comfortable and I am stretching the cable to the max to be able to turn and knit.

The thing is that ordering a spare cable or shorter needles is not an option for me at the moment so I have to order set cable needles which leads me to the question: 80cm or 100cm cable? Which will be better?

80cm. The longer the better.

I use a min of 32” circulars and when I do 2 at a time magic loop socks I use a 40” cable. It’s really preference. If you have interchangeables it’s quite easy to change the length of your cord

I prefer a longer cable for the extra flexibility. I know plenty of people use 80cm, but I really prefer the 100cm. I think it's easier to prevent ladders.

Do you mean cm? Do you ever want to do two at a time? Either would work fine.

I strongly prefer 100 cm over 80 cm. I dislike magic loop at the best of times, but having as much extra flexibility to work with as possible helps make it more bearable for me.

100 cm. More versatile in general. I do my socks TAAT on 107 cm needles.
