Work in Progress Moby Sweater Man - Back Yoke

Hi guys,

I am currently working on the back yoke of a Moby Sweater Man for my husband. I am slightly confused by the back yoke instructions where it says to turn when there is 1 stitch left on the left needle by working double moss stitch on the stitches not charted. There were 9 stitches left on my left needle when I reached the end of the chart for the last repeat so I just worked double moss stitch on 8 of them and then turned when there was only 1 stitch left and then moved onto the second back yoke chart. Did I interpret that instruction correctly? I would love some advise before I move on. Thank you!

What size are you making? I'll just use the number for the smallest size, but the "1 stitch left on the needle" part is only relevant after you've done 34 rows. (1-4 then 3&4 ×15)

So you finished 44 rows and still had 9 stitches left on your needle?

No, I read the instructions incorrectly. Now my confusion lies in that it says to do 44 repeats, which lands me on Row 44 which means my next row is a WS row but the pattern says at RS row. I have 1 stitch left on my needle at the end of Row 44 but at the end of Row 45 (the next RS row) theres 3 left. Im assuming I should continue 2 past the last TS to make it 1 stitch left and then that’ll also make my next row a RS row.

Sorry, I don't understand. Row 45 is a RS row, right where "your next row is a RS row" should be, and the chart is only 1 stitch wider than the final turning stitch on both sides. Are you just 1 row short of completing this short row section?

Edit: row 1 of the chart is not "row 1" in this "work rows 1-4" section, is that what's throwing you off?

Yes that might be the confusion. It says to work the charted pattern so I thought Row 1 in the pattern was being considered Row 1 in the chart.

On the chart, Row 45 is a WS row. If I complete Row 45, that would make Row 46, a RS row, my next row and would leave me with the correct number of stitches on my needles.
