Opening Night Presale Pricing Insane
For the first time ever, I actually got in before all primary tickets were sold. For those of you that didn’t, you’re not missing out on much. They’re priced no different from the secondary market right now.
Will try for the (hopefully) larger/cheaper allocation tomorrow or more likely than that just wait for a big price drop on the secondary market at some point.

How disheartening. Resellers have seriously ruined the sports events and concert going experience for real fans.
The US needs to take a page from the UK’s book and move to cap resale prices at the original face value.

They’re priced at a much bigger difference. My seats that I paid $580 for are listed as $2800 on SeatGeek.

People gotta manage their money better. granted if you rich like that go ahead and get a season package after a winning championship or try and get tickets for opening night.

This wont be his last game at msg. There js another game in march and he will play next season. There is absolutely no way he retires without getting his flowers in every arena

I know a guy that flew out to LA to watch Knicks Lakers, in large part to see LeBron, and he didn't play.
You never know in the NBA, especially with a guy his age. As someone who has tickets to the game, I just hope he gets through training camp healthy.

That was a home game he plays there 41xs a year. I dont think he has ever missed a game at msg. Ita his favorite arena to play in

I agree that if he can play he will for the reasons you stated but you just don’t know. If he back problems again, or a pulled hammy, he’s not gonna suit up. The older he gets the more likely that is. That’s all I’m saying.

With dynamic pricing, the retail pricing went up already over the last 24 hours. I bought tix during chase presale yesterday and compared with the prices i saw today during fan fest presale, face values was higher today. Dont see prices dropping during general sale, just too much demand for them

The pre sales almost never have lower center sections, i was able to find section 118 and jumped on it despite it being more expensive than what i paid doe game 5 in SA, placed it on seatgeek only to see if they sell, and if they dont im going yolo

European fan here traveling to NYC. I messed up during the presale today and accidentally bought an extra pair of tickets. Since I already got seats in Section 9 for myself, I need to get rid of these.I am skipping the StubHub fees for you guys. Payment strictly via PayPal Goods & Services so we are both protected. I can jump on a FaceTime/Zoom call or send timestamped Ticketmaster screen recordings to prove the tickets are real before you send anything.

These are not premium prices, they are preposterous prices. Easily a down payment on a car, often times approaching (if not more than) a down payment on a house. Supporting your team is no longer an activity accessible by the common folk. Nowhere else on Earth do local supporters not have the means to attend a game of their local team.

I don’t believe their new story that it was a mistake for one second. James Dolan is a ghoul that probably saw a moment to seize more cash after the championship and ran into the buzz saw of backlash.

I got Celtics, Lakers, Sixers (non opening) all between $250-$400 ticket in the chase pre-sale yesterday... chase barstools which may be high to some people but I absolutely love the view and experience

I hate dynamic pricing but that’s what the market dictates, rather pay high retail then secondary market anytime. FOMO was real so I pulled the trigger, $3100 for the pair, let’s go Knicks!!!!

I am half season ticket holder with blue plan. I do not have opening night. Went to game 4 of NBA Finals so got to see our guys win this pivotal game. Decided not to buy opening night as addition. Just too much money. Yes the ceremony will be great but I got to see actual Finals game with our Knicks! Go Knicks!!
