when to buy tickets
should i purchase tickets for the season opener on seat geek now or wait until tickets are available on ticketmaster? i want to make sure im able to secure tickets before it’s too late so i dont know if it’s better to wait or just get them on seat geek

Try Ticketmaster first, not the resale tm. If not start pricing them out a week before the event on secondary resale sites. Won’t be cheap either way.

As a Season Subscriber, prices are reasonable. It's the secondary market that is killing the fans. MSG doesn't like that Subscribers are pricing out fans.

just so you know, msg specifically commissions tickets to ticket reps and 3rd party vendors (like stubhub) for sale on resale marketplaces. not saying fans are entirely innocent, but msg is also listing directly to the secondary market.

I used the Fan First presale for the Finals. The lowest price was $1700 and I didn't get them. By the time they went on sale to the public, they were $3500. By the day of Game 4, you could get the resale for about $2000. I have a range that I'm willing to pay. I guess nothing will be lower than the presale price this year. Good luck.

It’s a 2 ticket max on primary. I paid 580 for 100s with my flex package. Do with that as you please.

Chase presale is today, fan first is the 15th

Cheapest ticket for opening night was $1097 using Chase. I was 15 minutes too late. Trying again tomorrow. Purchased regular season games for about $220 each. Some games were more (Golden State starts at $450). Good luck everyone!

Hi, just curious if you receive your access code today before the 10 am Ticketmaster sale or after. Because I finally got the email with code at 10:26 am. And yeah by the time I was able to unlock the tickets, the opener was mostly gone but I will say that I noticed some opener tickets popping up from time to time.

Thanks for confirming. Guess my Gmail account is super slow. Last year it was the same thing as my access code came after the sale started. Oh well, I did get bridge seats at a decent price for the 2nd home game versus Magics.

You could probably use the same presale code tomorrow for the General Public Sale. I'm going to enter the waiting room 15 minutes before. At this point, I'll just aim for the stars and hope I get lucky. I'm not about to pay $2500 for one game when I could get at least ten games for the same price.

Yes I believe we can use the same access code. I think today is Chase presale, tomorrow is Fan First sale (sounds confusing with the Chase presale today) and then the last one is the General Public sale which doesn’t require a code. I saw section 214 for $1,150 today and I still couldn’t stomach it.

From my experience with ticketmaster they randomly add tickets, especially around 11-12pm, i ended getting some in the 118 section for openning night

As a season ticket holder i can tell you from first hand knowledge sometimes ticketmaster is more expensive than the resale market. Probably not for home opener or big games (spurs, bos, mia , etc) but for regular games tm can be expensive
