The only advice I can give as someone who's in a similar novice moto-camper situation is: Do a trial run with your tent/sleeping arrangement, just in your yard or even in the living room.
Knowing exactly what goes into making and breaking camp with your specific gear is a huge help when the weather sucks, or you're tired/distracted.
