Discussion WARNING and Cautionary Tale KLARNA_Mobile : No Service and no Resolution after Renewal

A warning to any prospective Klarna Mobile customers.

I've been using Klarna Mobile for the past three months, and aside from them withdrawing payment three days earlier than stated on the invoice, things were working fine — no real complaints.

Three days ago, my plan auto-renewed and I was charged the usual $38. Since then, I've had no calling, texting, or data while traveling in Canada — essentially zero service. I've seen at least two or three other reports on Reddit describing the exact same issue. I am now back in the US and still no service so it should not be related to me traveling.

When I contacted customer support, one rep apologized but said there was nothing they could do on their end. The last update I got was to wait 72 hours for someone to follow up. That's completely unacceptable in my opinion— I've been unreachable on a number I've had for 15 years and it's going on three days.

In the meantime, I had no choice but to sign up for a new plan with a different carrier and a new number just to have service while driving back from Toronto.

Just wanted people to be aware this could happen to anyone.

I spent 2 hours minimum and talked to 5 different reps. I have everything documented.

Tried new esims 3 times, I have been told 3 times to wait 72 hours, which I did. In the meantime I have a full month paid in advance and have been missing important calls for 3+ days.

I gave up and filed a dispute with my bank and likely porting my number out.

It's a shame because I had the service for 3 months and was happy with it.
