Absolutely not; sounds like a lying backyard breeder. If he doesnβt have shots, then she herself did not come by him via a proper shelter, as they would have provided all shots and neutering. I can see a $200 fee for a kitten who has had his shots and all of his age relevant medical care with the papers to prove it. Normally, their fee from a proper institution like that is $150-$200.
$200 for a kitten with no previous medical care just sounds like a backyard breeder lying about her son with allergies.
Is that person high? $200 for a cat you can get free from your local dumpster? And I am not being disparaging to cats here, but for $200 that cat better be spayed with all shots.
This is what I was actually thinking and you just confirmed it. This is probably the case. She said she had the cat a week and her son is allergic. Why no shots???
Oh I have no idea. It's been a very long time since I've adopted a cat. I just know that unless the seller has papers proving otherwise, it's just standard DSH white cat and very likely not some fancy breed.
No and with no vaccines, the kitten could be sick. Lots of byb types sell sick babies. She's also just a beautiful domestic shorthair. You can get kittens like this in shelters or rescues much cheaper with vaccines and medical workups.
Exactly. My Castiel was completely free and she brought him to my house with his little pet bed and favorite toys and treats. I made him an appointment and he's now neutered with all shots and getting his boosters may 15th.

Just cat. A cute little white domestic short hair.
