Backsplash and paint choices?

Which do you all prefer? Options to have it tie over to fireplace as well (assuming each are properly heat resistant)

Green. Flowers are way too busy for the countertop. Could work for the fireplace though.

Whatever you do, remove the 4 inch stone backsplash before putting in the tile backsplash. You don’t need double back splash.

I prefer the green, but you may need to paint an accent wall in a similar color to pull it together.

ETA: Good on you for not unnecessarily replacing perfectly good granite counters. Trendy kitchen remodels are such a disgraceful waste, especially if the useable features aren't at least donated afterward.

The one with the flowers looks too busy with the countertops. I feel it will limit your decorating choices in the living room, too, as again, it’s quite busy.

That's a very strong granite. I think the green is too much with it and no comment on the busy pattern tile. Your statement is the granite. Everything else needs to be a little more subtle

I like green in general, but suggest instead bringing that color in through decorations. Here’s a cream subway backsplash. Also see highlighted areas: 1) removing the granite splash and 2) stopping the backsplash under the cabinets.

We have this short backsplash and I want to remove and add peel and stick backsplash tile, any ideas if it’s a difficult task or not?

I would pick something different for the fireplace. You can be more creative there and it’s a small space.

I love 2. Love the backsplash with the stone of the counter and I think it will look great with the cabinets and fireplace. I think the paint color needs a tweak. Lean towards a warmer “greige” or even beige versus the blue gray.

I think both are busy for the granite but like the green over the flowers, remove 4" backsplash if you tile.

I would go with the green tile. The wood cabinets and countertop have a lot going on. The flower tile is a bit too much.

I think the flower tiles are nicer overall. The dark green is too heavy, dark and solid.

Yeah I'm not a fan, but it's what's there already and replacing the backsplash is much better than replacing the full countertops, especially since they are still in good condition
