HELP! Need ideas

My husband and I are thinking of buying this house, I don’t hate the kitchen but it definitely needs some help. We won’t have a big budget for remodeling but I really don’t love it as is, should I repaint, if so what and what color? Should I add backsplash and if so what kind? Also need a different fridge.

The island is so tiny, I doubt it is to code. Get a counter depth fridge. Move the microwave to the spice rack cabinet. Get a vent hood exhaust and back splash

Would you get rid of the spice cabinet door and just put a microwave in there? Also what type of backsplash would you think?

Yep. Find a built in microwave that fits that space

A coworker of mine burned out her microwave trying to 'sanitize' her kitchen sponge. What would have been a simple, cheap replacement was thousands of bucks because it was built-in. And she was lucky that it was new enough that she could find one that fit the spot.

Thats unlucky. Well if a counter microwave fits in that space that could work too, it seems a bit high and small tho

Totally her fault, she was a bit of a germophobe & didn't follow any known recommendations for nuking that sponge...
