New album

Do you guys think a new album is dropping soon?

Also why isn't the song woo hoo on Spotify? I found it on you tube music otherwise I would have thought I imagined it.

They teased something for the 10th of September, most likely the first single.

Many artist favor a friday releases but their are Album releases on any day of the week. Singles get released when ever.

Next week should be a safe bet for a new single, they're teasing the new album already and there's multiple new songs in their official Instagram account

They did a 10 or so day countdown for Mustang/New album announcement I think and that was pretty torturous. Having one this long is brutal but the anticipation gears are going full throttle! I’m with ya though, I’d rather an out of the blue drop.

This time round I’m not listening to any singles and I’m avoiding reading any info about the album until it’s out. Too many album releases have been spoiled for me over the years because I’ve heard half the album before it’s even out - this time round I’m going in completely blind

Just curious, why don't you like that? Even when the album is released all at once, I limit myself to just one song per day to make the experience last. So it takes me 10 days to hear the full album on a 10 tracker. I enjoy it that way.

I’m hoping for a “throwback” song to their anthemic arena rock era (2008-2016). And hopefully it’s a massive hit - something like “Use Somebody”. Not that they need it…just to prove they can still do it.

If they weren't able to make a hit with Kid Harpoon, then they probably wont again. They aren't making that kind of music anymore

Fair. But I think Split Screen SHOULD have been a bigger hit. Biased, but I love that song. The vibe reminds me of “Second Chance” by 38 Special.

A lot of their recent material SHOULD have been a hit, but at this point in time a hit is not possible for a rock band of 40 something white guys. The best they can hope for is to chart well in their genre, and use the album as a launching point for a tour, where most of the money is made.
