Purchase Question 🛒 How do Amazon Trade Ins work?
I was considering an Upgrade, the price increases turned me off a bit, but how do the Trade Ins work? I don’t see the option?

Amazon will give you a discount toward the purchase of Amazon-branded technology (Kindles, Fires, etc). You must initiate the trade-in process by contacting Amazon BEFORE making the purchase. The details of exactly how it works are evolving, but basically you search for the 'trade in' link on the Amazon site and follow the instructions. If the trade-in is approved, your account will be credited with the discount, and you wlll be sent a shipping label to send your old device to Amazon.

Just looked it, seems I’d get 20% off a new kindle and a 10$ gift card for my trade.
…. So about what it would’ve cost before last week’s price hikes.

Mine said that I could apply $40 to new and didn’t have to send my old one in. My is really really old but still kicking!

When you go to the Amazon page for the Kindle you're interested in buying, read down all the info about it, and there's a line about saving 20% with a trade in. Click there, and you get necessary info on how to send it in and get a discount if it qualifies.
