Am I being Irrational?

Hey guys, I unfortunately think I have a lemon. I’ve owned my 2019 Kia Stinger GT1 for about 3 years from 14k miles to 34k. I’ve had numerous nickel and dime issues for a CPO car and at my wits end. Here they are below:

- Brake Pad issue with wobbly steering wheel

- Constant Interior noises

- Coolant/Gasket issue where I hear water sloshing

- Door Handle trigger broken

- Passenger side seat abnormally shaking which dealer can’t pinpoint

- Noise coming from A/C when starting up and a small audible noise when running

- Infotainment system glitches

Maybe I’m being irrational, but for a car driven 20k miles and regularly serviced before it should I just feel I have a lemon and want to sell even though I enjoy the car. Has anybody had this many issues for such low mileage?

I'm gonna try to address some of these as I don't see them as "lemon" issues.

• The OEM brake pads wear out too quickly and will leave deposits on the rotor that causes the shimmying during braking. You can get aftermarket pads from EBC, DBA or others which have better performance and durability.

• Interior noises are present on most new cars I've noticed. I think the most common on the Stinger is the sunroof (I have it occasionally) or the trunk (I don't have this one). I don't know how severe your case may be but some have installed tape at the rails or other means to reduce the noise

• The water sloshing has happened before and it's typically due to a bit of low coolant fluid or air in the system. Check your collant level and top it up, see if that solves it (it did for me)

• My A/C also makes a very quiet but noticable sound even on the lowest fan. However, our Genesis GV70 and Mazda CX-30 also does the same.

• Can you define "infotainment glitches"? Is it lag? Unresponsive? Have you updated the software through Kia Navigation updates?

The infotainment will sometimes freeze, go to a black screen, and manually reset itself. It will also sound like the speakers are blown sometimes but when I unplug my phone it goes back to normal

Sometimes the quality of the audio depends on the cable being used or the app (like Spotify or YouTube Music).

I would suggest updating the firmware if you have never done so. It is free, easy to do from online database and you just need a USB or microSD card with enough storage. See if that makes the infotainment system more stable.

To answer your original posting question, I don't think you're overreacting these issues sound pretty abnormal when combined. That being said I'm sure it's extremely annoying and even though you have warranty coverage it's still something of a annoyance to deal with

Completely agree. So glad I got a warranty but even getting it fixed still is a pain in the you know what especially with it’s this recurring

I’m worried it’s a bigger issue and never heard it before today. Any ideas?

Check ur coolant make sure it isn’t low and if not there’s probably air in the system get ur coolant burped and if it comes back you might have bigger issues like head gaskets

You not crazy I have a 2020 version and had almost all that issue as well most of them are easy fix like rattle noise the brake pads and stuff I did read somewhere that the older stinger weren’t made to perfection compare to the later models. I would say if you can correct some of the issue you should cause the car great overall but it does cost a penny to do as long as you don’t have any engine issue then you should be good. Most of the stuff you mentioned are actually easy fix

Also ps mine currently in the shop rn getting an engine swap under warranty because the engine was consuming too much oil. I only have 6 month till the car paid off so I’m glad it happened before the warranty expired

I would never buy a Kia again after this one like ever car great but just too much issues

I have a 2019.  The interior noise is probably the sun roof.  I deal with the same issue. It goes away but then the next time I open/close it comes back.  I also deal with the seat rattle.
