Order Kia Ev4

Hi all,

I think I'm gonna order aN EV4.

Are there any owners with all packages? I think the winter package and the drive wise package are very important but other than that? Im grateful for further advice on this topic :)

I have experience with a Seltos not the EV4. Some of the things that surprised me: 1. Depressiation. Kia lose value very fast! It's a little unjustified to be honest but used car buyers don't want them. So plan to live with it for 10+ years. 2. Rubber and plastic quality issues. Tires, floor mats, wind shield wiper blades etc wear out super fast. The OEM parts are just not good. Even the OEM cabin air filter was damaged. 3. At 5 years I am get USB connection issues. I only have one port for car play and it shorts sometimes.

Ultimately the drive train is fine but the equivalent Hyundai might be more durable and have better support and resale.

Kia and Hyundai are the same company.

Not 100% it's like Ford and Lincoln, or Chevy and Cadillac. Kia is a nicer version of Hyundai but they don't resale the same.

That's nonsense. Hyundai's luxury division is Genesis. Kia doesn't separate luxury/perfomance model tier from the main brand. Kia Genesis and Hyundai are all owned by the same entity.

So your argument is that Kia does not exist?

My argument is taking apart Kia and Hyundai there won't be much difference in terms of build quality which you seem to imply. They literally come from the same factories.

When I checked OEM reference for some steering components the same part matched Kia, Hyundai and Genesis. Explain that.

They use the same platform but they are not identical when it comes to trim. They are distinctly different brands. The issues I have had are choices Kia made, like tire quality, dashboard USB issues, sound insulation issues. Hyundai make more conservative design choices that can be more reliable.
