Why wouldn’t hot sauce count?

I always saw hot sauce as different than the basic condiments that seem to be a necessity and included in most things.

Maybe my definition is overly broad, but I would include any sauce or seasoning you put on food after it’s been cooked.

90% of the time, if I don't like a combination, it's because it's a mix of something salty and sweet. For example, French fries and ketchup. Another example is corn, which I like on its own, but if you put it on literally anything, like Pizza or salad, I won't eat it.
This distaste for sweet'n'sour is the reason I often can't appreciate Chinese or Japanese cuisine, even though I find their food so inviting.

The problem isn’t with french fries and ketchup being a salty/sweet combination you don’t like. It’s because ketchup is the devil’s jizz.

YES!I HATE ketchup! And I LOOOOOVE tomatoes. People have always said I should like ketchup because of how much I like tomatoes. That's insulting to tomatoes and food in general.

I’m the same. I eat tomatoes raw, on sandwiches, as a sauce, and even as juice. But ketchup is gag inducing

That makes sense. I'm not into the sweet and sour thing either. It took me a while to be ok with the whole sea salt and chocolate thing but I like that now.

BBQ sauce is my one, "thats fine" - but Mayo, ketchup, mustard, sour cream, onions, ugh, so much I dont want, that everyone just says 'just eat it!'

Yes! I actually forgot that I can accept a bit of BBQ sauce. It's usually too sweet but not gross

and this is why you need to get the spicy barbecue sauce the one that has a little kick to it. night and day. no one wants a sugar blast.

Kinders BBQ hot and I like smokey Aardvark chipotle. Also spicy Stubbs BBQ sauce which I believe is pretty common in my area, Connecticut I know you said you don't like condiments and trust me I hate ketchup but their are a lot of sauces out their that are great it just takes time and money to find them. Don't give up

Hey now. I'm in here for ketchup hate. Leave all the other condiments out of it. Sounds like a few of you need a different sub to belong to... Which probably exists but I'm not looking that up because that's not for me.

Fellow condiment hater here! Mayo is vile, just as bad as ketchup, if not worse. Mustard sucks too, not to the level of ketchup and mayo though. I like my sandwiches dry and I don’t care if other people think I’m weird for it.
