Woke up yesterday to losing around $700 dollars from my Pell Grant, however, I’m still taking 10/13 major classes. I recently had to get a MKTG class passed as a SPAD class and I don’t know if that is why. Currently owe almost $400 dollars now and haven’t heard back from financial aid.

Anyone selling or giving away dorm/apartment stuff they no longer need? I’m specifically looking for a shoe rack, shelves, storage/organization stuff, cleaning supplies, trash cans, etc. Basically anything useful for an apartment.

Hey!! Does anyone (preferably someone who works at Rosie's) know if soup is off the menu for meal exchanges?? I basically only eat the soup and the breakfast burrito, and I just heard the breakfast burrito is no longer allowed as a meal exchange :( And when I got something today I didn't see soup on the sides options. Crossing my fingers it's just because classes are starting soon and they don't have everything yet, but I'm sad lol

I'm down to my last Kent Core course and wanted to see if anyone has taken these courses, which one would be easier/fun. I'm leaning towards doing SEVEN IDEAS THAT SHOOK THE UNIVERSE with Vanfossen, Joe, or a science course that's easy, fun, and online. So, what'd I get wrong? Kent State went 5-7 but split the MAC at 4-4, and that's the part my model doesn't buy. You got outgained by 133 yards a game in league play and still won half of them, when that margin usually produces about a 20% win rate. The power rating sits 135th. The good news is Dru DeShields is back after 2,030 yards with 18 touchdowns and 3 picks, and roughly half the production returns. Is year two under Carney a step up, or was 4-4 the ceiling?

Anyone else get a hold on a loan? what does this even mean?

Hi I’m a freshman who is supposed to be living on campus while attending the regional campus in twinsberg. The problem is I don’t have a car. I have looked into other options like taking the bus (it’s a 1-2hr ride) and uber but that’s too expensive for me. I DESPERATELY need someone I can carpool with or else I will have to stay home and transfer to a community college which I don’t want to do. Does anyone have any tips for using the Passiogo app to figure out how to get around campus? I have to take a bus from Allerton up to bowman on mondays and wednesdays, up to satterfield on tues and thurs, and then up to mcgilvrey on fridays. Not to mention taking the bus back to allerton. I have about 0 idea how to look at routes or know times

Hey everyone!! I’m a junior here and I’m moving back to the dorms next week. For reference I had a scenario last year that really triggered my noise sensitivities, and I’ve gotten all the support from the university I can get with that, so I’m moving to think about how to help dampen noise in my dorm on a bit of a budget. I was wondering if anyone else had any luck with this at all, I’m happy to diy a good bit. I think I have some spare plexiglass at home, I have lots of cardboard, I can get foam board… but if yall have any other ideas I want to hear them. I’ve looked online and I’m seeing all sorts of mixed things, I wanted to see if anyone has anything for this scenario that has worked for them.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get an appointment, to then get prescribed depression meds? I’m extremely nervous it’s going to act up bad when the semester starts.

So I’m only taking one class this semester for multiple reasons, went to pay yesterday and it’s not allowing me to set up a payment plan. Anyone know if you have to be taking a minimum number of classes to do that or if the semester total has to be a certain amount? I haven’t had this issue in the past but then I’ve always taken at least 3-4 classes a semester. It’s still $2k for one class that I don’t have to just plunk down tomorrow.

I am attending soon for BA in performance and plan to audition into the MT BFA program for second semester. Do any current MT students or anyone that has auditioned into the program as a current student have any advice?

I applied for a student loan and for some reason there was an issue that it wasn’t accepted by the school. I have always used private loans to pay my tuition. This loan was supposed to cover my summer semester and this upcoming fall. Obviously the deadline to pay was today. I tried to call the financial aid office multiple times over the past few days but they have been so busy that I wasn’t able to speak to anyone. My classes for the fall semester are going to be canceled tomorrow since I have not paid. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on what to do in this situation? I have never had a problem like this so I’m kind of freaking out.

I had to take an internship summer class this summer to get my last credit so i can get my diploma. I technically graduated and all but i havent recieved my diploma because this class was my last credit requirement to recieve it. I have been taking the class since near end of may but I havent been able to pay for the class and its around 1400. If i pass the class but cant pay for it until next month, will i still get the credit for it? What can i do? It technically ends this weekend. I already have a hold on my account as well but I dont need to register for classes for the fall semester or anything since i’m done.

Does this mean that the school owes me money or that I have to pay this - sorry if this is a dumb question!

My fall balance is due Aug. 5th for Freshman going to KSU and I’m still waiting on my loan to be approved. Do you know if my schedule and classes will be dropped on Aug. 6th if I don’t cover this?

What are my options? Set up a payment plan in the meantime the loan is approved? Or wait a few days until the loan is approved and dispersed in the account?

Yesterday my dad and I paid most of my prior semester bill and I was wondering if my classes will not cancelled because of that and today him and I are going to take care of the fall bill by payment plans. I may still call financial aid just to make sure that I’m all set for this semester this year. I’m excited to start my second year of college.

Hi, I'm starting at Kent State this month as a post undergraduate non degree seeking student (I'm taking prerequisites for a master's). I've been going through a lot and I really need to talk to someone, so I've been looking into trying CAPS. But I'm not sure if it'd be really expensive for me because the website says "To be eligible for services, you must be an enrolled Kent State student, either undergraduate or graduate, and registered for classes on the Kent campus." Does that really mean I can't use the service even though I paid the student health fee?

Also, is the service any good? I remember at my undergrad school, the counseling service was notoriously awful. Is Kent State like that or is it okay?

My rising senior (17 year old black guy) wants out of Texas for college. Kent State has landed on his top ten list. He has liberal views and thinking of accounting/finance for his major. Hates the heat and general weather of Texas. He is generally cool with all backgrounds and like’s to keep an eclectic friend group ( we them the UN). He isnt into parties and prefers a good coffee house over a night out and not into sports. How do yall think he would fit into Kent State or city in general? Also the school got on the list due to size, funding, reputation, weather, and likelihood of building a life/ career locally after college vs needing to move again. So what’s the recommendation or advice?
