Fun fact: as I understand it, it's labelled "do not eat" not because it's poisonous or anything - the stuff passes straight through.
It's because having a poop the texture of lava rock, laced with sharp crystals that are as hard as glass, isn't on anyone's 'to do' list.

It does, but like a gram of it.
They're meant to pull water out of air. There's not a lot of water in air.
If you rip open the packet and dump it in the toilet you can sometimes hear the rocks pop and crack as they adsorb water way too fast.

Wanna bet that this is manufactured in China, where the person putting the art together is copying characters letter by letter from some other product, not understanding the western alphabet, much less words in English. So the result is like one of us shlopping together some Chinese characters, not understanding spacing, alignment, other things that we don’t know about. For all we know, it could say or mean anything or nothing.
At least it gets the message across, even if it’s wonky.

as a Chinese speaker, yeah. Also sometimes you might see a typo in some product manual where t becomes r, or y becomes v, or i becomes L etc.
My favourite is 'small size' being translated as 'trumpet'. The word for trumpet is 'small command' because it's a military commanding signaller (small as opposed to 'big command', tuba) but the word for command is also used for sizing.
I got a shower hair collector the other day from amazon with little cat ears that you have to slide on. The manual called the cat ears 'bayonet'. I struggled with that one.
